I'm leaving the country
...next january.
I just got accepted for the Chinese student exchange program at my school! During the second semester of my senior year, I'll be living in Beijing and going to the Jingshan private school. FOR FOUR MONTHS! It is going to be ridiculous. I can't wait.

Okay, here is something I have always wondered.
If you are an american student who is living in China for a while, do you have to obey communist laws, and can the chinese government do to you some of the things they do to their own people or as an american are you pretty protected?
Might sound stupid, but I am seriously wondering.

you pretty much have to abide by their laws. you dont get diplomatic status just for being a student, ya know? and according to all the chinese people i know, i'm REALLY hot (im just tall and sorta good looking lol). they say i'll get as much booty as i want :P

The chinese government will search your room often, and probably bug your phone and keep tabs on you all the time, its what they do for most foreigners, China is on lockdown to all non chinese. Whatever you do just don't get into trouble man, communist asians are nobody to screw with.

whats funny is, the school im gonna go to is mainly attended by the kids of govt. officials, and i'm staying in one of their houses with their family. they dont need to bug me, i'll be under constatn survelliance lol.
