This is the question. In the last 13 years I gained a lot of weight I went from 195 to 305. I got sick of being a fat ass, well, mostlt belly and chest. (My lower body is actually quite lean and muscular) Ive lost 50 lbs so far and have been lifting for about 8 months. I still have trouble with the friggin' Man Boob thing that happens when I get fat. I'd suggest not loosing weight too terribly fast if your skin's elastisity isn't what it used to be. That way your skin may have a chance to keep up. I'm no expert though.
With a healthy lifestyle - eating healthy foods and exercising, the fat should come off and as long as you aren't doing drastic things with the diet it should be an adjustment that you can live with long term and you will eventually get down to your target weight.
Also, make sure you are eating HEALTHY food. Not just low carb or whatever, make sure you are getting all your vitimins and all that with the foods you eat daily. That may have some effect on the skin's ability to bounce back.
