EAS Myoplex Original

This review is based on the chocolate cream and chocolate lovers flavours as that is the only ones I have tried so far.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/eas/myoplexnew.html

Ingredients:
A nice combinatation of whey, casein, milk and egg proteins. A good range and dosage of vitamins and minerals to boot. Although as an MRP, i would prefer to have casein ahead of whey on the ingredients list. Also notice that maltodextrin appears to be the main source of carbs, not quite ideal. I'd also like it to be a little higher in fibre.

8/10

Taste:
It is definitely a tasty shake in water, I bet it would be fantastic in milk. A good chocolate flavour w/ no bad aftertaste. It is a pretty thick shake mixed in the recommended 15oz water, the texture is like a nice milkshake.

Chocolate cream: 8/10

Chocolate caramel: not really any different from regular chocolate. 8/10

Chocolate peanut butter: can't really taste the pb flavour. 8/10

Chocolate mint: A nice hint of mint flavour at the end. 9/10

Dark chocolate: I love this one, a richer, deeper chocolate taste. 9.5/10

Mixability:
Each serving is 78g, a good amount of powder. I have only used a shaker cup so far and have had no problems at all. The odd time, there may be a small clump or two at the bottom but generally mixability is complete. I would consider mixability superb for the amount of powder. The texture is consistent throughout as well.

10/10

Price:
On bb.com, the 20 pack comes out to $2.05/serving and $1.90/serving for a 42 pack. Where I get it from, it averages out to @2.50 Cdn/serving. A competitive price IMO for a very solid product.

9/10

Conclusion:
For those looking for a MRP, definitely consider this product. It is a tasty, convenient and quality shake. Upon mixing, the total volume comes to about 22oz and will keep you satiated for a good 2.5 - 3 hrs. I usally have a handful of nuts with this to add some fats and makes it even more satisfying, as there is only 3g of fat per serving. This formula can also be used PWO if wanted. A product I would use again.
