Smile Retro Talk: Tom Platz in Arnold Total Rebuild

I was just seeing the Arnold (Total Re-build) vid today(I have seen it over 50 times !!!).

Did u see Tom Platz in it ?? Man he truly is a "Quadzilla", I believe he had quads which can give a run today to many pros ??

Any comments ??

Tom Platz is the original quad king. I love watching the pro's of today, (sucked when Dorian retired), but something about the pro's of Tom's generation. I try to watch Pumping Iron at least 3 times a week.

Ditto that bro,

Pumping Iron is immense. The 'golden era' of bodybuilding in the 60's/70's just seems like it had a totally cool atmosphere. The guys were all freinds and there looks like such a strong sense of commeradary, something somewhat lacking today. Pumping Iron and Total Rebuild never fail to motivate and inspire me, when ever I watch PI i just want to hit the gym and get massive!!

Tom's legs were totally amazing, agreed! I think that all the guys back then had a much better look, they were huge and ripped but not freakishly big like the overly developed pros of today, who im my opinion have taken steroid use a bit too far and have developed bodies which are not as attractive as back in the 60's/70's when Draper, Arnold, Zane, Franco etc were the kings.
Mind you thats just my opinion and I do recognise the amazing achievments and dedication of the guys today who are totally larger than life. I suppose in the sport of bodybuilding each guy has to out size and out muscle the next. This can only mean one thing, more juicing, bigger more shredded bodies and guys essentially doing long term damage to their health, it makes you think just where the line will have to be drawn, or will they just keep getting bigger and freakier till they burst?
