Do you use more weight for curls or triceps?

I was doing overhead tricep extensions and curls last night with a straight barbell when I realized that I can do a lot more reps of the same weight with tricep extensions than I can for curls - like 30 reps compared to 12. Is this the case for anyone else? It feels like it should be the other way around since the bicep is a much larger muscle than the tricep.

I'm wondering if my triceps have just really outpaced my biceps. Maybe I'm just using really strict form for my curls which is making it harder or something.

Your tricep makes up about 60% of your upper arm size, bicep= 40%
I am the opposite of you, my tri's cant go as heavy as my bi's. Due mostly to neglecting my tricep/ pec training when I was younger.
My back and biceps> my chest/tri's.

I do more weight with bicep exercises. My triceps seem to respond better when they are kept under tension. When you keep a muscle under tension during the entire exercise it is harder to use more weight. By doing this I can hit the muscle using a longer range of motion.

Biceps are different for me. I feel like I work them better when I use a heavier weight.

I work with more weight for biceps, than triceps. My tris are pretty weak.

Keeping strict barbell curl form their is only like a 20 lb difference between that and my overhead extensions.
