Strahan ends holdout after incurring $500K in fines

After 24 hours of soul-searching and a conversation with general manager Jerry Reese, defensive end Michael Strahan has decided to end his holdout and report to the New York Giants.
Strahan had been training in Los Angeles for weeks, but he had not decided whether it was worth it to continue his career with the Giants until Friday.
By late in the afternoon, Strahan decided to give it one more season. He missed 36 days of training camp. At a fine of $14,000 a day, Strahan owes the team $504,000 for not being in camp. It is not exactly known how Strahan resolved the monetary issue, but he and the Giants reached a settlement that allowed him to return.
Early in the week, it appeared retirement was more of an option. Though he had hoped to make a decision by last Monday, Strahan couldn't.

He reached a settlement with the Giants... I doubt that he is going to have to pay a whole lot in fines. I would imagine they are pretty happy to have him back.

this guy is apparently as dumb as he looks. what a stupid ****. after he got slammed with the divorce ruling you'd think he'd sign right away. and the giants never even budged on what their offer to him was. so now he's another 500k in the hole and he didn't get any more money. what a **** tard.

Yes, he was a fool for agreeing to that pre-nup. It should have been reversed, with his wife not getting anything.

What a joke., what was she doing the OLy lifting and benchpresses with him on those long winter nights at the Giants training facility?
I bet he paid 100K or less for holding out and now will have a decent season bc his old legs will be fresh.
