Top rivalries of all time
Comment on mine or put your own. Try to name at least 5 if you can.
Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin:
This is by far the greatest feud to ever take place in the WWF in my opinion. Happened right before the Attitude Era. Let's not forget this is the feud that truly put Stone Cold on the map.
Dusty Rhodes vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair
The hottest feud throughout the 80's in the NWA. Alot of money was to be made here.
Sting vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair:
Change the above date to "90's" and change promotion name to "WCW" and include the Four Horsemen in both of them and you've got even more money to be made.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon:
The feud that won the Monday Night war for WWF as far as I'm concerned. Great writing and great performances by each man which helped to make Monday nights WRESTLING NIGHTS for many viewers out there.
Rock N' Roll Express vs. The Midnight Express:
Simply put, greatest tag team rivalry in the history of professional wrestling in any era.
Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Shawn Michaels
Probably defined both mens carrears. In a way it's still ongoing as both men will still debate who is/was the better wrestler and why.
Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Toshiaki Kawada:
Hands down the GREATEST rivalry in puroresu history. No other rivalry as of yet has produced as many truly great emotionally and physically intense matches.
Von Erichs vs. Fabulous Freebirds
The feud that set WCCW fukin on fire as a regional hotbed! Possibly the hottest feud in the mid-80's.

Great feuds, here are some that stick in my mind.
Lawler vs Dundee- Neither of them were great workers but they worked really well together, had god knows how many matches and none better tha nthe 1983 Loser Leaves Town match.
Verne Gagne vs Nick Bockwinkel- Verne did not do many jobs but he had no problem dropping the belt to one of the 1970's best workers, sadly verne's ego had him beating Nick for the belt in his last match but some great mat classics.
Hogan vs Piper- Rock and Wrestling took off with this feud & was Hulk's first major programme in WWF- headlined MTV, WM1 in the show that made Vince in a tag match and the Wrestling Classic, Piper never took a pin so the ywere able to match them up over a decade later in WCW.
Flair vs Race- Old school Harley vs then new but kind of old school Flair, headlined the first Starrcade and had many classics between 1981-1984, Race even stood in for Vader in late 1993 to face him again.
Flair vs Steamboat- No need to say any more.

Great minds think alike! I agree dude, it's by far my favorite feud of all time.
A few more of my favorite feuds include:
Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven
DDP vs. Randy Savage/nWo
Awesome vs. Tanaka
Stone Cold vs. Undertaker (circa 99)
And to add onto the Bret Hart/Stone Cold feud, it was great because of the uniqueness of it obviously, in the sense that Stone Cold was cheered trumendously in America and boo'ed like hell in Canada, and it worked the opposite way with Bret and the Hart Foundation in that time period.
Also the feud had a face/heel turn-around in the middle of it, right after possibly the best WM match of all time too.

Sting vs. Vader
Vader vs. Cactus Jack
Probably the two best feuds in WCW during the early 90s.
Rude vs. Steamboat
Some classic matches betweens these two.
Magnum TA vs. Nikita Koloff
Best of seven series.
Flair vs. Savage in the WWF:
Flair having those doctored photos with Elizabeth and calling her damaged goods and Savage's reaction was classic.
Malenko vs. Eddie for the ECW TV title
Gangstas vs. Public Enemy
Tazz vs. Sabu
One of the best build-ups to a match ever culminating in the first ECW PPV

Some good ones so far and I've got to go ahead and add Sting/Vader to mine too.
Sting vs. Vader was one of my favorite things in WCW, I swear. Sting sold the big mans offense well and made him look like the monster that he was. I only wish HBK had done the same in WWF circa 96. Vader also played the dominant beast so well that when Sting actually got the upperhand on him, it shocked people. Some brutal matches together, I wish more people remembered that one.

wow all of the major ones i thought of have been mentioned, nice mention of Awesome/Tanaka
Taz/Douglas- great match when Taz won the title, the rematch might have been even better
Super Crazy/Tajiri, and maybe Little Guido to, those were great matches and 3 way dances
New Jack/Da Baldies- a bloody mess involving various weapons and the staple gun incident
RVD/Jerry Lynn- classic matches
Hogan/Slaughter- they only fought in one singles match at a ppv but it was an intense feud that lasted from the winter til the end of summer
Rick Rude/Ultimate Warrior- it went from Intercontinental title to world title feud just like Hart/HBK and Austin/Rock

Megapowers exploding.
Loved when Macho was showing clips of Hogan with his hands all over Elizabeth and making out as though Hogan was trying to take her away from him

Heenan vs Hogan- heenan hatred for hogan was awesome and how it carried thru till the end. how many guys did he get to hunt hogan?
Lawler vs Bret- a short lived feud but one I think layed down the ground work for a lot of future storylines. Lawlers team at survivor series vs the hart family. Shawn michaels eliminates owen leading to the owen vs bret feud. And I think was one of the first matches where hbk and bret met.
Lawler also introduced Dr. Isaac Yankem dds aka kane in this feud
Benoit vs Booker T- not so much any storyline feud here that I recall but the best of seven I believe matches were phenomenal and this feud carried in the wwe.
LOD vs New Age Outlaws
Flair vs Savage
Raven vs DDP
Raven vs Sandman
Justin Credible vs Tommy Dreamer
Bret vs Bulldog
Bret vs Owen
Hollywood blondes vs the horsemen
Dungeon of Doom vs Hogan

Montreal Terrtory: Jimmy + Ronnie Garvin Vs. Rougeaus...INSANE heat at the old Paul Sauve Arena. This was in the early 80's, and one time the fans threw chairs into the ring ECW` style after a post match beating by the Garvins! Cops broke it up!!

Studd, Bundy, Orndorff, Race, Haku & Flair off the top of my head- there may have been more as well. Please tell me you are kidding about the DOD.

one of the best booked feuds in WCW history. this booking and the story telling in the ring especially by Sting made so much sense. i can remember just wanting to see Sting beat the hell out of Vader. I hated Vader cos he ran through everyone including my beloved Sting. when Sting finally beat him, i marked out like a school girl. i wonder if anyone has this feud on DVD or a torrent somewhere.

I think Vader was easily Stings best opponent, even better than Flair.
It is well worth getting the shows they faced each other on- Bash 1992, Starrcade 1992, Superbrawl 1993 & Slamboree 1994 as they are all good to excellent cards. I am lucky enough to own them all and I have a tape with the two title changes that took place over here in early 1993 from London and Dublin.
The Michaels feud was not what it should have been- Vader was ruined the minute he arrived, wow he beat up a nearly 60 year old fat guy and then he hurt at that time jobber Yokozuna- they even let Yoko beat him at the In Your House show where the lights went out but they changed it to Vader winning two days later when they re-taped it.
He pinned Shawn in the 6 man main event at the IYH before Summerslam but instead of selling it HBK cleaned house on him afterwards, then they had a long house show run with Michaels going over clean every night so nobody thought Vader stood any chance at SS.
