Rant - Do you get along with your co-workers?
I was thinking about it while I was sitting here at work and realized I hate most of them. What are your rants about your job and your co-workers.
1st there's my boss this guys is a frigging neurotic slave driver. He comes in and out of my office every 15 mins asking me how's it going in his stutering slew multiple questions. He can't even finish a sentence which is follow by a hesitant whiny grunt like he unloaded in his trousers. Makes me sick.
2nd His fake B$%ch of a wife, I've never seen some so fake. She's so phoney she even has this anoying hesitant laugh. I realize now I was lied to from the start. She so incompotent, she never can do anything around here. I have to send out her e-mails like I'm the fVucking secretary. What a tool.
3rd There's this annoying a-hole who walks around the office with his hands in his pocket looking around to see what everyone else is doing. This arrongant ass goes into peoples offices and just stands there watching you while you work and asks so many questions like he's a supervisor. When he talks to me I just say "yeah" and igonore him so he can go away. All this guy does is make phone calls all day and is the purchaser. He acts like without him the company won't sell any products.
4th The snobby general labour workers. At first I would say good morning to everyone. Now I just turn my face and never talk to the people I know are a-holes.
I'm currently looking for another place of employment. At my current job I'm in charge of one of the design development department, run the output printing, laminating machine, translation, oversized cutting machine, packaging design .
Advice to people looking into employment from a company. Be sure to ask what your daily duties will be, what's your involvement in your work, benifits, will you be monitored by a supervisor, wages, bonuses, company stock, company car, all the perks.
I learned alot from here especially what not to put up with. I'd like to see their faces when I quit, they don't appreciate alot of workers here. ****ty pay, no benifits, no bonuses = $hitty job
Rant away

My Job is pretty cool, the people are mostly cool, except for a few here and there..We have one person who never does anything and is always on the phone fighting with her husband , going through a divorce, but apparently we are all because we have to hear everything they fight about because she is so damn loud...yesterday my boss asked her for some work she did not do and she flipped out and threathed to quit, so my boss said do what you must.....she cried wehn she came out of HR and she did not quit....
My boss is 36 and makes 3/4 a mill a year, he is very cool to work for and does not come down on you as long as your work is done, my coworker is lazy, but the Sr accountant is a blast we have so much fun here at work/..
All in all its not that bad considering when you confine people to an area and they have to interact with one another things can get real ugly

I prefer working with men. An department full of women is insecurity hell. They don't know how to behave professionally for the most part.
Think I'm being biased? Bollocks - most women will tell you the same.

I mostly get along with my co-workers. The only thing I don't like is when my boss starts to make fun of me. Joke or not, I don't appreciate that.

True, they do tend to freak out a lot more easier than guys and they are generally more emotionally driven.

Pretty much everyone I work with is cool as heck. My supervisors are very badass, coolest sup's I've ever had. My fellow grunts (load/unload trucks) are all really cool, some aren't the fastest/strongest workers but they're ok.
The one guy that gets on my nerves is the safety guy. He got hurt a while back so they put him in charge of safety. Since then he's turned into a kiss ass who's on a power trip. He does'nt work hard or know how to run anything, yet he thinks he knows all. He's been put in his place many a time but he'll go and run to the managers and get people written up. Pisses me off

It goes both ways where I work. We have some women who flip out, some guys who flip out. Most of the "go to" people who have their crap together here are women.

Most of the guys where I work just do their job, alot of the females like to bitch...alot! The guy I work with is a fat lazy piece of **** that takes every day as a challenge to see how little he can do. I pretty much hate everyone I work with except for a couple people. But its all good cuz pretty soon I'll be dead.

i love my job other then how ****ty it pays
but its just temporary until i am finished college, so i will manage
my boss is pretty chill, and when i work its just us two until he goes home then i am in charge
its in a car dealership so i pretty much shoot the **** with the car salesmen all day, then hit on the secretaries for good measure
eat whenever i want, go on my laptop and do homework, make personal phone calls, etc...
sometime i challenge myself to see how little work i can get done in a shift, and i usually end up impressed with the end result

I am in a military fire department where we have both military and civilian firemen and woman (i forgot we've got one). Anyway, myself being military, those lazy azz civilians get on my damn nerves sometimes. Us military guys always get stuck doing the grunt work because the civilians give us that bull poopy line "it's not in my contract," and they go back to watching TV. That's probablly why they are all in such horrible shape. Other than that, I really like my job.

I like the majority of people I work with because I hired most of them. I do my best to get rid of the ones I dislike. I work in an "at will" employment state, so if I don't care for someone, they are gone and I don't even have to give an explanation.

It's funny you asked this because last night I became frustrated as hell with a co-worker. I just started a new job last Wednesday and although the job is fine in general, things would be totally different if I owned the company/was supervisor (which I'm not). The plant is already in trouble because we've been producing ****ty parts the past year or so. We've been threatened over and over again to get our **** together or they're closing it down and selling it to someone that can run it. I honestly didn't see what the big fuss was about until I saw the work that was left over from first shift. It's horrible, just horrible. I can't for the life of me figure out why people can't follow the simplest of instructions. We have certain goals for part numbers to meet each night. For an 8 hour shift, it's generally 24-30. First shift will do 10-12. Yup, 10-12. Then the people from first shift will tell US how many WE need to do. **** that, but gotta do it anyway because I wanna keep my job.
Second thing, people will seriously turn a ten minute break into an hour long one. I could possibly see if you've finished all your work for the night or whatever, but goddamn we have three breaks so if you turn those into an hour each you're only working for five hours. What's strange is that the supervisors are cool people, but they'll do almost the same thing sometimes. No wonder that bitch is about to close down.
Thirdly, OK I don't really hear quite as well as other 20 year olds. I am not deaf or hearing impaired enough to have much done about it and can hear mostly everything you tell me pretty well, but it just ain't as good as the average person my age. I explained this to my co-workers (two girls). The leader has no problem with it and is very patient with me, but the other one will get all snooty and talk like I'm a little kid if I ask her to repeat something. It's a factory for ****'s sake, the place is loud. She does the same thing to me, not that she's hearing impaired but damn when you have forklifts driving all over the place and machines running it gets kinda noisy. If I NICELY ask you to repeat something, you can atleast do it in a respectable manner. If you have a problem with it, tell a goddamn supervisor, he'll probably have worse things to say about YOU anyway.
