Baseball cards/trading cards?
Hey guys I have a bunch of baseball cards and other trading cards from when I was younger and would like to see what some of them are worth. I'm not into this at all so I have no idea where to look up prices. So if anyone has any ideas for me that would be great.
Thanks

I dont think they are worth much. I have boxes from when I was a kid (early to mid 80's) The market was flooded back then with like 10 different companies at least, so there arent any rare cards. Any really worth anything....IMHO.

for baseball cards there is Beckett magazine. or if you're looking to dump them somewhere, just go to stores and see what you can get, or check ebay for the same cards and see what prices they are fetching.
I'm not sure about the other stuff besides baseball. all sports cards have magazines that tell you current prices and whether it was an increase or decrease from last month.

just pull out the hall of famers, and list them on ebay. people that know how much they're worth will bid up to 3/4th their value

Don't get your hopes up. I have a ton of old baseball cards from the 80's (i.e. Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Clemens, rookies). They still aren't worth much.
Because of the steroid scandal and the strike that baseball had in the 90's (among other things), card values have taken a dump.

Any decent bookstore will have the Becketts book that lists the value of baseball cards. It's usually in the "Hobby" or "Collectibles" section. They come out with a new one every year, so the values are up to date.

Like others have said, they may not be worth much now. If you still want to sell them, find a source online with card values or look on eBay and see how much you can get.
I have a ton of cards and I'm saving them until I'm like 50 or 60 and then I'll sell them. I probably have a few that'll be worth something. Most of the cards I have are still in mint condition and I stopped collecting around 93 or 94.
