Am I wasting my time??? Or should I be more patient??
I am 6' 1" 215lbs and relatively lean, I have an abnormally strong frame. I havent worked out in 1 year and I still have a 4-pack. I have now been back to the gym for 3 weeks. I am cleanly curling 55-60lbs dumbells and inclince benching 100lb dumbells. My friends have always given me **** for being naturally strong.
Anways I want to get cut and I am always tired of the WWF style body I was born with. I have a 34" waist and want to try to get to 8%bf and a 32" waist. I was tested at 13.5% recently. I do n ot want to get any bigger...not one 1lbs more of muscle cause ti doesnt look good.
I am weight training 3x a week just doing chest, arms, shoulders and abs. If I work out my back I cant fit into the racing seat in my track car.
I am running 4x a week 40-50 min averaging about 4 miles. Half is elliptical and half is treadmill.
I just need to loose the last 10-15lbs.
My diet is:
Breakfast: Oatmeal and coffee
Snack: Protein shake
Lunch: Tuna/chicken/lunchmeat wheat wrap. Cottage cheese
Snack: Almonds
Post workout: Protein shake
Dinner: Salad + Chicken/Fish + brown rice/Sweet potatoe
I have 2-3 shakes a day and I take NO Explode.
I am wondering if the NO is holding back my weight loss? it gives me crazy energy at the gym, and should I be taking protein while trying to cut?

I so wish I were in your position. Im getting close though. Regardless I think this "grind time" where thes are the last few super stubborn lbs of fat are just hard to burn off. I would say you look prettt spot on for your diet and exercise program. If anything I would do early morning cardio split between HIIT and steady state like a 2/2. Make sure to do it with a shake in your belly and maybe even take in half of your coffee. Take both before you cook your breakfast so you have about 15mins for it to start digesting. Do a warm up and some 15mins of all out HIIT sprints no more then 15mins though
I've started doing it and I've seen more results with 15min HIIT in the morning and steady state at night. Give it a shot.

As long as your caloric intake is below ~maintanence + calories burned during cardio/weight lifting~.... you will lose weight. (hopefully fat)
It doesn't matter as much what you eat... as much as it matters how much you are eating (calories)

I am almost wondering if my calorie intake is too low?? Would that stop fat loss? I have no problem being dedicated since I have been in the past and used to work out 5 days a week for 1.5 years. I just want to get my info straight so I dont waste 2,3,4 months doing something wrong.
I do need to start back on HIIT,
so does everyone agree I should continue with Protein powder and the NO explode (I think its making me retain water)

No explode is garbage. That "crazy energy" is nothing more than a lot of caffeine. Save your money, buy No Doz.

but would the minimal creatine in that make me retain water weight?
Still, same question applies...while trying to cut should I elimintate protein.

Im still in shock this guy isnt happy where he is at...
Thats my idea of a perfect body...
Kinda getting scary with so many men wanting to be soo small and lean..
Just my 2cents though.
Personally, Id cut out the weights and take up jogging and calisthenics....also clean the diet up...and just lower the calories gradually...
Youll get smaller and leaner...and probably a bit weaker.
If that what you want o 4 it...again I dont see the reason why but....

No way, dude. Protein is boss. It doesn't just help build muscle; it stops existing muscle from wasting away, too. I know that there's a big debate about whether "calories in vs calories out" is a good way to proceed, but my experience is that cutting carbs really is the way to go. HIIT cardio training also works really well for me. I'd suggest making 2 of your cardio sessions HIIT.
I have no idea of NO Explode is any good, but be sure to take some caffeine a bit before your cardio sessions. A cup of black coffee an hour or so before cardio seems to work best for me.
