Tell me why... My calfs.... Tell me!!!!!!!!
Ever since i was lil kid, my carlfs are unnaturally big.
I look kinda ugly because its too big.... because I play soccer?
When I went 260 to 150... my calves ....... they looked the same.
BUt those ripped bBs lower body are also shredded... Can I ever get ripped (my legs)?

i have big calf muscles as well. some people like me just have genetically bigger calf musc. my dad had them, i have them and so does my brother.
and it didnt hurt that i played soccer year round for 14 years either. i dont ever work my legs out they are just cut naturally. now if i actually did work them they would be seriously sick

How big your calves are has nothing to do with definition on them. If you flex them do they appear defined and cut?
I've been a big guy and always had big calves, when I dropped my weight I did so with regular cycling and my calves don't appear to have lost muscle. They are pretty ripped now though unlike before.

well i think calves dont affect the body that much .. i mean not matter how big they are .. it will still look ok ..
thats a natural calves i mean ... the symmetry arent affected this much .. almost any bodybuilder would like to gain some more size on their calves
so again be thankful

lol, was gonna say as well. Having big calves is half the trouble done already.
Now you just need to train them for separation, definition and stuff!

Seriously! I am fighting with a family genetic disorder called "chicken leg" syndrome. I am busting my arse trying to add size to lower body. I've finally started gaining some size and definition following Ah-Nuld's advice in a recent mag doing tons of Donkey Calf Raises for 30-50 rep sets at a time. Something about the weight from that machine being on your hips versus knees. Anyway it's working so far.
Anyway, I take some of that calf muscle mass any time dude!

My calves are ridiculous...I don't know if the muscle fibers have more HGH receptors than normal, but my calves grow even when I am not working them specifically. Right now they are about 22 1/2 inches around and I can see the vascularity in them even when the muscle is cold.

Calves are a big problem for most people. After losing 50pounds i am finding mine really small. I am hitting them hard and basically doing A LOT of stretches because the main reason why they dont grow is because of the fascia...If you have huge ones i really doubt they look bad. The whole idea of bad looking legs is chicken legs, not huge ones.
OP, you have one less problem than the majority of us.

x2, and calf workouts are damn painful sometimes, especially heavy standing calf raises. Burns like hell.

I was really self conscious about my calves. That is, I was, until I shredded them up. Now they are thick, yes, but very cut. I love them now.

theres a difference between big muscular and fat calves.. some ppl store a lot of fat there and they look much bigger.. are they defined or is it just soft?

Yeah i've got the same problem, but mine look worse, because I have a size 15 shoe, going up to my chicken leg calves, then to my fairly large upper body, i look all out of proportion and can't stand it,haha I was 260lbs back in feb, you think I would have big calves from carrying that weight around, but no, my calves are retarded and are 16 freakin inches, which is horrible for a guy sitting at 6'2 @ 200lbs...haha

my stupid gym doesnt have anything to do standing calf raises, I hate that place so much...I wish I had the money to go back to Golds...Standing calf raises are prob my favorite thing for calves, I highly recommend them for someone trying to find a nice way to get a burn in there calves

Nothing a little block to stand on and a barbell or some heavy dumbbells won't fix?
Do you really need a machine for that, my gym doesn't have one either so I don't really know if it makes that much of a difference.

dont complain
Look at it this way. your calves are not big. your quads are small. Many people can not get large calves so make the rest of yourself larger to match. Crap even Lou got calve implants. You have a very good advantage.

THank you everyone of ya.
I feel much better....
Ok, I will work out my calves every single day and see how it goes...
Im gonna over train to make it a little smaller and tight and ripped.
Sorry that I havent posted the pic yet.... TOMORROW TOMORRW! Im gonna post it.
When I was a little, I run really fast and I once made a recoad and once I was No1 15 years all in 100m runnin.
I guess my calves are the reason I can run fast, but since I was kid, even thought I was at really low bF%, my CALFS never get ripped. Never. There are some fat on em. but also, huge mustle.
Man, if I could trade em, I would right away.
