Grinding Oats
When I grind oats and put them in the protein shake most of the oats stick to the bottom of the shaker. What is the best way to make them not stick to the bottom.

Gotta learn the swirl and sip technique. Grinding them only does so much

What is the swirl and sip technique. I did try to get them from the bottome of the shaker but most just stuck there. I did get most out with a spoon.

Try oat flour . . .
It's essentially the same thing as ground oats, except finer. More likely 2 stay in suspension in ur shake. Instant oatmeal is also very fine and is essentially powdered oats.

I use a mason jar as a shaker, so I can put the lid on and shake in between guzzles, a veriation on the swirl and sip. ~ oh, I mix the shake in a blender then tranfer to the shaker/mason jar for transit/consumption. Actually you can make a 32 oz. shake this way, and as long as there is nothing that has a stable life cycle of less than a few hours, it works well. This works well for really thick shakes like Home-Made MRS with whole oats or PWO super gainer shake.

Buy some oat flour. All it is is extremely finely ground oats. It blends in perfectly and doesn't clump or sink, whereas I could never grind oats fine enough with my blender.

why anyone would grind fuggin oats and put them in a protein shake is beyond me. What is it? Are you on an anabolic cycle and require 6k calories a day and this makes it easier? Are you 120lbs soaking wet and cant gain unless you eat 6k a day? Have you been convinced that the most bland food in the world has some sort of magical macronutrient components that make it teh perfect anticatabowliz foodz? WTF???????
Don't you guys want to taste and enjoy your food? It is one of the most basic pleasures in life, you know. I am completely convinced people eat ****ty/bland tasting foods only because it makes them feel like they are "on a diet" or are a "bodybuilder."

man, are you for real? Oats are great in shakes, especially when you need extra calories and can't stomach whole food. Some oats and pb or nuts in a shake is a great homemade weight gainer, seriously.

While I agree that oats are much better cooked, etc. Some people prefer to have a quick easy method of eating them, there is no need to be an ass about it.

Oats make shakes taste better. And carbs are delicious.
