Forms of cardio, and what they do for the body (with proof)
I've been looking all over for good articles on cardio, but I haven't found crap. On the site here, most of the articles just spout bull**** that you see wrote on the run of the mill (lol pun) treadmill (fat burning zone, this burns fat, this doesn't burn fat). Then it goes on to give more bad info like 7 meals a day, run directly after working out, and more bull****.
So what I want, and what I want everyone to see is a compilation of cardio tips backed up by SCIENCE.
Why does running burn fat? Does it really burn fat?
Why should we run 45 minutes maximum? Where did that limit come from?
Would sled dragging take away from my workout?
Is HIIT really THAT effective?
What is the best cardio for fat loss? Why? Endurance? Why?
Those are example questions, and they along with other questions should all be answered with this thread. The problem is that, like workout articles, there is so much bad information out there. And I'm no genius when it comes to finding info, but I'm trying.
So let the info begin!

Would sled dragging take away from your workout ?
If you did it before your workout yes, if you did it after your workout then it'll take that much longer for your body to repair. If you did it on a rest day it'll then take that much longer for your body to repair
Im not saying not do sled dragging, Im saying it'll put a toll on your CNS, if you do sled dragging then make sure your incorporate that into your lifting routine.
I dont even know what sled dragging is but I imagine it's tough ? Maybe? Why don't you use snowtubes ? Their kick ass

Well thanks! Good thing there already is one of these threads out there.
I did search, but cardio is such a common word. And so is cardio effectiveness, and cardio purpose it seems.

Wasn't trying to be a search Nazi, just pointing out that all your questions are answered in that thread.
Have a good one.

Sled dragging isn't very taxing at all. I don't know what made you think that.
10-15 mins twice a week won't screw with recovery. Dragging actually relieves DOMS in the lower body and can expedite recovery.
