Cop Pepper Sprays Wendy?s Drive-Thru Cashier Over $20 (VIDEO)
So a cop goes through the drive-thru, and thinks that he gave the cashier a twenty dollar bill when in fact the video shows him giving a ten. He comes into the Wendy’s restaurant and pepper sprays the cashier, who was a very outspoken young black woman. It gets pretty nasty, you can hear her struggle to breath after the spray… check out the video:
What an ass. Talk about serious hardcore abuse of power.

$60K - $45K attorney fees - $5K hospital and loss of income - $4K in Taxes
She'll net $6 from this case + the cop keeps his job.
She could have got a lot more.
Now wait a minute. In the first place. Attorney gets half. $30K. $5K for emergency room to flush out her eyes? More like a couple hundred. 3 at the most. Federal taxes are 17% on that $60K. That's about $10K. Loss of minimum wage for a couple days at the most would be $70. Even quick math leaves her a couple hundred less than $20K.

You'd be surprised at what hospitals charge for anything...maybe not $5k, but I would assume at least $2k and probably more.
Attorney would probably cut his fees a little to give the client some extra $$ depending on how much her share of the settlement would be. Hospitals usually don't cut their fees.

Emergency room visits are expensive. $5K is reasonable. My fathers is a trial lawyer and his firm usually collects 60%+ whenever they win a case. Maybe she got a low-end attorney, but I'm betting that a high-priced lawyer picked up her case. All of those costs are deductable so she won't be taxed on the 60K

Why would a high priced lawyer bother with a bull**** case like this? Could be the cops offered her $60K to go away. No lawyers involved. Maybe that's why she settled for $60K. A young girl working part time at a Wendy's for minimum wage? That $60K probably looked like $60 million.

You don't need a hospital if you get pepper sprayed.

Why would a high priced lawyer bother with a bull**** case? The fact that you would ask such a question brings into question your mental maturity.
I'm pretty sure she went to court. Cash strapped police departments don't just offer up $60K. I'm pretty sure she wanted $1million and they later settled in court for $60K

I agree. All cops have to get sprayed at the acadamy. They wash the **** outta their eyes with a water hose and go on there merry way.
All this emergency room talk is just running up the bill.

This comment questions my mental maturity? Hey kid...........high priced lawyers go after multi million dollar lawsuits. Not this silly ****t. Ask your dad.
And who says the cops in that town are cash strapped?

I don't feel like arguing with a mental midget today. This conversation is over.
If I was working there I would have hit the cop on the jaw, a cheap knockout. Or throw hot coffee in his face or something...
Then proceed to call the good cops to take the fat piece of **** to prison.
Yeah, sure you would have tough guy. Quick question: What if the cop would have been right? If he would have been, he would have had every right to have arrested her (hell, but even though he WAS wrong) all you would have accomplished would be to getting your ass (thoroughly) kicked and facing felony charges when you got out of the hospital. But hey, you would be a hero to the staff at the Burger King!

There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
