The day after working your legs.

Do you rest?

I usually do because i noticed I was really busted and also I saw a lot of routines with days off after working legs.

Today it's that day and im not feeling particularly tired and was considering hitting the gym to work my abs and take sunday off.

Is it really that important to let the legs rest after a hard session? My workouts involve 40-55minutes of cardios (10before lifts and the rest after) so that might be the reason why resting could be so important.

As long as the cardio is low intensity I dont see a reason why you cant do about 30 minutes of it the day after leg workout

The legs are used to alot of work and your workouts would usually consist of you moving alot more than your bodyweight. that amount of cardio should be fine as legs are carrying bodyweight only

As i said, sometimes i am really tired the following day of my legs workout. Today I was feeling tired at all and instead i wanted to go to the gym. I did that anfd worked the abs and 40minutes of low intensity work on the elliptical.

I wanted to make sure i wasnt overcharging the legs because i see a lot of rest days indicated the after the legs.

Cardio the day after a leg workout is beneficial. Active recovery, drives nutrients into the legs to promote recovery.

Look into sled pulling.
