aim keeps disconnecting at my new house (serious)
So I just moved into a house with 7 of my friends from college and we just got our internet hooked up to a wireless router. well all 8 of our computers are having issues running AIM. the internet is hooked up and connectivity on all of our computers is "excellent" yet aim disconnects every five minutes and then reconnects. This is incredibly annoying and we can't figure out how to fix it.
So I ask all miscers if they have ever had this problem, and how do you fix it?
reps for life to whoever knows how to fix it....but for now I'm gonna go drink some beers so I may not reply until tomorrow

it is quite a few people but it's a big house so it's not too bad....yet
but anyways, it disconnects no matter how many people are trying to log on...the first few days we had internet there were only two guys living here, now all 8 are having issues. We tried resetting the router and that did nothing. I've googled it and it seems like a lot of people have this problem with aim, but I haven't been able to find an answer as to how to fix it.

this may not be correct but, your wireless internet might have a security feature that requires the computers connected to reastablish their connection every 10 or 15 minutes.. its brief but it could cause aim to disconnect and then reconnect. im not certain but i always had this probalem with my wireless internet

is there a way to get it to stop doing this?
and it is just aim...I haven't had any problems with firefox/explorer etc. and none of us have yahoo or msn so I don't know if those work or not

actually I just looked and it said I've been connected to the internet for 1 day and a few hours, so I don't think my wireless is reconnecting every fifteen minutes
