I think it'd dry out by then, you'd need to add in some more water. And if you don't like it cold, just heat it up in the microwave.

I eat cold oats . . .
They r pretty gelatinous when cold, so I break em up w/ my spoon, then add some milk, Splenda & Da Vinci SF Syrup & I'm good.

I cook mine at night and store them in the fridge for the next morning. I wouldn't have em any other way. They're get real gooey and thick, and with the addition of some choco whey...god it's like christmas every morning.

Just eat some cheerios or something else. I like to add just a little bit of water to my oats and then microwave it. It makes this granola type bar that travels well.

Get a really good thermos. Put hot water in it to warm it up on the inside while your oats are cooking. Pour out the hot water when the oats are done & put the oats in the thermos and seal it up tight. Should be good & warm until lunch(if you have a good thermos). Add whatever else you want later when you eat the oats.

I really like eating cold oatmeal, I have it atleast once a day. It is a little similar to bread pudding which is one dessert I really enjoy. I add a variety of things like cinnamon, eggs, fruit, nuts, or protein powder. It thickens up if you let it sit and cool so if its too thick, I just add a little water and stir it up before I eat it.

This doesn't directly answer your question, but I just put my [cold] oats in my shakes and blend it all up. If you use milk it doesn't even taste that different than a normal shake.
