You should all take breaks once in a while
I was on holidays for two weeks and i decided to stop liftin for a week but keep up the diet. I never take weeks off normally but now i will. I started liftin again the next week and switched things up and instant gains / plateau break. Gained weight and decreased waistline (lots of squash, very intense)

I have read very mixed reports/thoughts on this. I haven't missed a session in 6 months and i don't think i could bring myself too. But the last time i did miss a week i can't remember if there was much different,

Personally, I'd only take a break if I finished one routine, and was starting another.

I took three due to sickness and I didn't feel any better when I hit the gym again!

I always take a break when I feel some symptoms of overtraining coming on.
I agree when I come back from a break I make some insane gains.

I have the same feeling.
I just took a week off, ate steak practically every night (serious) and otherwise healthy foods and pretty much had no choice but to rest (I was on vacation) and so I came back and my lifts seemed ot raise dramatically. I felt better, but now I've got DOMS like crazy lol.

I take a week break after a nine week cylce. Then switch the lifts up. I think its a great idea

im taking a one week break starting tomorrow since im going to school, gotta get acclimated, etc.

acclimated? Thats was too advanced for me
i usually take a week long break in huntin season because i go to my uncles farm and theres no weights or anything there. I gain about 5lbs during that week to due to all that food
