How often do you take a break from the gym?
how long and what are the benefits? i have been working out hard for about 3 months, wondering if a 1 week break would do me good?

Yes it will do you good.
I always give myself a 1 week break every 10-12 weeks.
If you dont take this break you will feel overtrained, your results would even start dropping.
you need to give your body rest.

Won't hurt to take a week break after three months. The benefits are: You feel rejuvenated and ready to hit the weights once again and your body has a nice rest.

Just about every workout routine on this board suggests a decondition phase for at least (7 - 14 days of time off). It's definitly a must in every routine, your body gets very adapted and needs a change.
