What does the MISC think about keeping a gun inside your car and/or houses?
last week my cousin got carjacked by a knife-wielding thug (he didn't get hurt but the car remains to be located), so it got me thinking about keeping a gun in the car and house in the future.
i asked my dad about it and he told me to not consider it. he said that keeping them inside the house is dangerous especially if you have people over all the time or if you have children, and he also said that in most cases you will only lose possession when you confront a mugger. pulling out a gun, he said, can lead to lives being lost.
What does the MISC think about keeping a gun inside your car and/or houses? to those that do, have you ever used it?
thanks.

I'll laugh when Jamal and Hiessus make your ass their hallway in jail when you get caught with it in your car

In your house is one thing. I have no problem with that. Keep it well hidden and locked-up though, though in a quick situation, you wouldn't easily have access.
The way I see it, only the really paranoid, or people with a lot of dangerous enemies/business, or people who frequent really unsafe parts of town keep a gun in the car. It's dangerous, unnecessary, and asking for trouble.

well, about the part about leading to lives being lost is true, because most of the car jackers are drug addicts who steal cars to make money so they are probably willing to do anything

well since im only 18 i have an sks rifle which is definately bad ass that i keep under my bed, if people decide to come to my house to start **** or jack **** from my car (if i hear them) they will definately get their ass popped.
getting a handgun when i turn 21.
and yes ive been in situations more then once where if i had a gun then the other bastard wouldnt be living right now.
i would rather kill a mugger then get some of my **** stolen, hell i would shoot him in the face just so he couldnt have an open casket funeral. i'll be damned if some ****er gets off with my **** without me doing anything about it or even trying

only if you have a concealed carry permit, but those are not available nor valid in all/most states (can't be taken from state to state.)

I have 9 guns in the house, all in my safe, one pistol hidden in the bedroom in a lock box that opens via hand print. I also have a CCP to carry one legaly. If you're educated about firearms and have the nessassary permits to carry, there is nothing wrong with it. Just keep them locked up, if and when I have one with me in the car, I do not have a bullet in the chamber, however it only takes seconds to get it ready.

Where i live it's legal to have a pistol in your glove box. I have a shotgun and a pistol in my room. I think it's fine as long as you understand the consequences of using your weapon. Even if you have the law behind you, it will follow you around for the rest of your life.

Unless your state says 18 is the legal carry age for GIFTED guns, you're ****ed and cant carry legally.
*I'm also curious how so many of you underage kids have pistols just chillin in your bedroom or you're "carrying two" are you all really DUMB enough to have unregistered pistols in your poss???
