guggulsterones with birth control- not good

I used to take guggulsterones when i was training about a year ago with no problems. I took a break due to injury and in may began taking birth control(ortho tricyclen lo). I was just cleared to start running again and i decided to start with my supplements again not even thinking of any possible effects my supplements could have on my birth control. The morning after taking guggulsterones, I felt completely nauseous for half the day... By the next morning, my period had come a week and a half early! So yeah, there is definately an effect on the birth control
I am wondering if anyone knows how long the guggulsterones will remain in my system and affect my BC??

Yes, gugglesterones can interfere with birth control. I am not certain whether it is independent of when you take each (eg. it might be ok if you took them 4 hours apart).

I dont know I'm still suffering them lol.... it's only been 3-4 days tho.... I've continued taking my birth control pills as usual and now those are almost done to start my next period lol so i think i'll just go straight to a new pack.... but i hope this doesn't last long
