It's funny how we're all very different. I usually lose my appetite after a long cardio session, but get hungry like there's no tomorrow after lifting.

x2 , i seem to eat a lot more on cardio days. I think it's because I do my cardio first thing in the morning right after breakfast so I feel tired for the rest of the day and just eat and eat and eat.

Cardio increases your appetite. Suck for people that are dieting because you are doing it to cut fat but then you are hungry afterwards. But for people that are bulking a little low intensity cardio three times a week will make it easier to put down all that food.

u burn up a hell of a lot of calories after a nice cardio workout and ur body is craving to be replenished... prob why you get those signs.. i know after my cardio its just about 3 hours since i last ate.. eat breakfast at 6.. done with cardio about 8:45.. so i come home and show chicken and rice a brutal punishment

yeah,
i also read somewhere that cardio burns a lot more cals per min than weightlifting. Ok. but what I'm supposed to eat after it ? Like, currently Im training for a marathon competition.
Lets say that till 5 oclock i have ingested good 1500cals - protein/fat/complex carbs to fuel my training well, and then when i come from running what im supposed to it in order to avoid hunger and avoid fat gains which are extremely undesired especially before contest.
i try to eat my dinner before 7 o'clock for the same reason - to avoid fat gains.
should I eat some bananas to replenish the glycogen and satisfy my hunger and then some fish/chicken and veggies with little bit of olive oil ?
what do u think - any suggestions are appreciated

one more thing,
Im running with this player which has a sports mode function - and it shows that for 30mins of running i have burned 290cals (I have inputed my height and weight etc), do u think its realiable or a little bit overestimated ?

PS:
To sum it up give me some ideas for a healthy dinner please - which will help u stay lean and satisfy ur hunger until the next day u munch ur oats

how about u just eat some high pro/fat
does the job well for dinner and for pre-bed snack
dinner go with a grilled chicken salad topped with mixed veggies (greens) and olive oil as dressing
and pre bed have some caesin (milk or CC) with some PB or almonds
simple

Cardio burns more calories and requires more energy, so yea your apeptite definately increases after a cardio session.

Sorry but i have to call bull****. You mean to tell me you ran at 6 min mile non stop for 30 mins? (and thats if you only ran 5 miles), if you ran 6 miles you ran at a 5 min mile for 30 mins. That means you start at a full sprint and continued it for 30 mins. Are you an Olympic athlete?
