A lot of people turn away from Christianity because they see the flaws and are unable to prove everything within the Bible is from God Almighty. The fact that others have put words into the mouth of Jesus pbuh and created trinity, resurrection etca has not helped matters either.
There's a God out there and he sees and knows all. By all means don't follow a religion as there is no compulsion. Do good deeds and look after your neighbour, don't make mischief and treat people as you would want to be treated. If you are happy to do the above then really you should feel no need to convert people away from any religion as they are all based on peace and understanding.

And then, according to every Abrahamic religion, an insecure whining psychopathic bully of a god sends them to hell....

Just curious, why does it matter quite so much to you that anyone else has to share your beliefs? Is that something you have ever pondered upon?
Why should it be good enough for you? Why should your friend (who presumably you liked before his loss of faith) need to change in order to facilitate your beliefs?
Apparently it is people of faith who are intolerant, yet, time and again...it is people without Faith who display an aggressive intolerance to people having faith.
Have you ever pondered upon this fascinating little puzzle?

ok, but how is your aggressive stance a more benficial and healthy lifestyle? It seems your unbelief gives you a 'desire' to remove something precious to others? If you can't have it, they shouldn't either. They must be like you.
I find that attitude 'extreme' to be honest!

What kind of douche would proactively go out and unconvert their friends from their religions?
Atheism FTW!

Would you like your close friends to believe in the Easter Bunny? To believe that the Earth is flat and the sun revolves around the Earth? To believe that babies come from the stork?!
Obviously you want your friends to perceive the universe truthfully, not with the horrible slant imposed by a series of intricate lies.
If you can perceive the universe for what it really is, you have a better grasp on reality, possibly a better ability to function in that environment.

I have to say it is universally acknowledged that there is no such thing as the Easter bunny...and we have indeed established that the earth is not flat...though I doubt most people would be aware or care about that fact even today if it wasn't taught them (many peeps still don't very far...travel inwardly or by physical means)
Intricate lies according to whom? Science has proven that it often gets 'it' wrong, and has to revise the knowledge it imparts to the world. And, it has been unable to disprove the existence of God there is as much science to back up the truth that God exists, as there are to theories to say it cannot be...not how, why, proof based...just theoretically, whereas many people have genuinely experienced Faith, do have their own personal experience of God through divine intervention and the answer of prayers. Because science cannot discredit such things, it dismisses them as irrelevant or places a 'theory' (not fact) to counteract God's existence.
So, whereas you perceieve there is NO God to be the truth, believers perceieve that God is our Creator and recognise it to be the truth.

OP
So. What do you want and not want. He believes in God still, and did then before you "converted" him.
A Christian is a follower of CHrist. Christ was the greatest teacher, and a Christian is a student, and one who stidues and follows Christ. So he doesnt do that anymore, but still believes in God?
Or to be more precise, he believes theres a God, doesnt beleive the bible though?
