how much trouble can u get in for a Fake ID ( BPP)

I'm going to college and am almost 19, and EVERYONE has fakes because the bars are the popular spots...and its so much better time at a club/bar with a fake( no alcoholic)...i heard its a felony but not sure if its true...

happened to my friend when we went to a sports bar in miami...all the cops do is TAKE IT AWAY...thats it. nothing they can do.

That is for Virginia, many places are just fines, and probation if used to buy alcohol.

depends... u can get arrested if they wanna be gay.. but i was caught with a fake id in a bar(along with like 5 girls) and they took ALL our info down and asked us a buncha question, (who let you in, what did u drink, which bartender ect..) but they let us all go with no troubles...The bar got screwed for each person that was underage i think too... and obviously they kept the ids.. lol

It depends on what state your in and what your using it for. If you get a fake ID to purchase a handgun...felony....for buying liquor...misdemeanor.

I'm pretty sure that it's a lot stricter. It's forging of government issued material and with the stricter anti terrorism laws I think you could get into serious trouble if they what to.

I went to WVU and went through about 12 fake id's before I turned 21. Most of the time the doorman will just take it from you. The local cops paid $5 or $10 for every fake ID the bars gave them. I got busted in LBI, NJ by an undercover cop working the door. It was something like a $250 fine.

well you better rep me because ive had experience with it, it depends who caught you and where. first off the person will consificate the id, then if hes cool he'll tell you to **** off and dont come back until youre legal with a real one. 2ndly if the person is some sort of loser, he will let the authorities know and when that happens, youre cuffed and send to jail for days until you get bailed,. but what really lies is that how old are you and whats the legal age limit here, some 19, some 21. Mostly you'll get charged with money and obviously you wont be seeing the fake id anymore. you'll get misdemeanor on your record if caught by the authorities depending on some states.

Just asked my dad, hes a cop in the state of Texas. It's a class B Misdemeanor if used to get alcohol. And its a felony IF used for other fraudulent practices i.e. taking over someone's finances, etc.

Virginia recently "upgraded" their misdemeanor and felony for fake ID's.

some colleges count it as a strike. say your college has a three strike rule. if you're caught with it (by the university police say for some reason or the university finds out) you might get automatic two strikes because you'd have the fake ID and also be drinking underage. but yea i've heard that they just take them away. i've also heard that its a serious offense and the gov. is trying to stop fake IDs from getting out not just for drinking; they're more worried about people lying about their race/background/etc to get guns or whatnot...thats just what i heard once dont quote me on it.
