Then i asked what kind of college help and **** hes getting, hes like "I DUNNO!?"
and he started talking about how we are pussies and any marine will own any army soldier, im like...mmmk k, he also said
"I bet you i could kick your ass ONCE im a Marine" like having the seal makes him able ot kick my ass, he even implied he cant now.
I dunno wtf is up with these marine guys, every guy in my graduating class i kno thats going Marines keeps bashign the Army,

Welcome to the US Army.. We do all the work, The Marines take all the credit...
LOL...
(No Marine hate)
Ignore him... He's just a tool who joined the Marines because he gets picked on a lot and thinks that being in the Corp will make him tougher..
In all seriousness.. Welcome to the Army.. PM me if you have any questions.. I can give you the info, or point you in the right direction..

I know a few guys like that, just signed up because they felt tough and wanted to kill them some ayrabs, but don't have the depth of dedication or patriotism or sense of duty that i have witnessed in marines i respect. plus he hasn't even done anything yet, i've noticed that most of the people who have misrepresented the marines are those who just signed up and are feeling tough, and those who get put through the ringer dont have a need to

ACUs look waay cooler than the **** the marines got.
And i realised from my recruiter that army guys really are ****ing badass, they just know how to keep their heads from blowing to huge porportions when around other people. Not saying all marines, but most.

I known some good Marines and I've known some bad ones. I've known some good army guys and I've known some bad ones. The military can teach you a lot of things, pride, honor, respect, discipline, loyalty, courage, and a love of ones country. It shapes each individual differently and affects each differently. Its never the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dawg. Marines are specialized amphibious fighting force and their training is specialized as such. Army are your ground pounders we make our bread and butter on land, notice I say our. Once you get into the army/marines their is specialized training airborne, rangers, special forces, scuba, for marines force recon, sniper, etc. What you guys take from that training and make of yourselves is all up to you. A year from now when you both experience some S.E.E (Significant Emotional Events and you will) while in service to your country, if you both still feel the same way by all means beat the crap out of each other. Until then do what you have to, then gauge it on your own, I salute both of you for volunteering and good luck. You wanna talk **** to him, go airborne, real men do it from the sky.

Threadstarter,
Don't worry about that kid. Usually, that mentality will quickly dissipate once they gets to the Corps/Fleet. Once you are in, when it comes down to it, we all serving on the same side.
Also, keep in mind that some Marine recruiters instill that arrogance and boast in these young enlistees' minds when they join; it helps reinforce the youth's decision and motivation.
Good luck with your career man. Remember, it's what you make of it .

My expierence is that Marine recruiters will say damn near anything to get you to sign up.
Thats probably why hes riding the high horse, got fed so much bull****( your gonna get the most pussy being a Marine, you can kick anyones ass, youre the next Chesty Puller, ex...) and took it to heart. That is why hes ragging on you.
Good job on your decision and I wish you good luck, im joining the Marines here pretty soon.
(not cause of the bull**** talk, personal reasons).
