Difference between rows and T-bar rows?

As the title says, I was wondering exactly what the difference between seated rows and T-bar rows was. Also, which is best for developing lower traps and/or mid-back? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

Thanks.

i would just do both. both are effective and your back usually requires more volume than other parts, so using a variety of lifts would be more effective imo.

I do both as well. but I approach seated row as an isolation movement. focus on squeezing the muscle and stretch all the way out w/ a moderate weight. (like I saw on Charles Glass video here BB.com) T-Bar row I go heavy and do it more explosively.
