how often and how long do u guys take breaks from weighlifing

Every 8-10 weeks you should take a 1 week break from lifting.

i wud disagree, iv taken one week in a year, and its not done me any harm at all, it all depends on the person, IMO there r no set guidelines

holidays are best times to workout since its just you and the weights
vacations are best times to take off
or if you're poor like me and cant afford vacation
take off a week every 6 months ish
just dont be a couch potato and eat garbage and sit around

yeah, while a lot of people could benefit from breaks, what you said is key. there are no set guidelines...

I don't take 'rest weeks' per se. Sometimes I am unable to go to gym for whatever reason (looking after my gf or overtime at work etc) and thats my rest days.

If I take a week off I can already lose mass. That's just for me though, as some have said, it depends on the person.

When i start feeling worn down. Other than that used to center my breaks around pwl meets.

only if i have to..If i will skip on porpess , i will fill like i lose a day i can become stronger..
depends on u , if u are tired muscles hurt or soething then rest couple of days

bigger holidays mainly christmas and thanksgiving, if the school gym is closed for some crazy reason and then normaly after every 12 weeks of lifting straight.

I take breaks of 4 days whenever i feel i'm overtraining and need some rest since i workout 6 days a week and each bodyparts twice
so its 4 days like every 4 weeks
