need some info on deadlift..

wow.. im embarrased to say that i have never deadlifted before..

quick questions..

i rep 225 squating..

i rep 170-180 something in bench..

( NOT MY MAX JUST REP'ING )

how much weight should i rep for deadlift??

i normally do 3 sets of all exercises.. so starting and ending weight?

Once you get in the habit of deadlifting normally, you should get up to around 315. It will take a month or two though.

in rippetoes everything has 3 sets and deadlift has 1set but with warm up sets too

First time I've ever tried it, I repped 550lbs 5 times. Thats the only reason why being 6'1, 260 lbs was good for in my eyes lol.

We cant base what you should rep on your overall max's on other lifts. Back is a whole other part and a very big part at that.. your best bet would to goto the gym start with a warm up like a 115 or 135, get the back feeling good and then start your actual lifting. You will quickly find out how much weight you can lift. Dont go to hard on your self the first day though deadlift is a big lift and you can easily be hurt if lifting to heavy/ not enough warm up before. I myself weighing 167 repp 335.

start with low weights to get ur form perfect dnt wanna go screwin over ur back, and just increase the weights wen u get ur form down and just keep increasin until it gets hard
