I'm trying to lose fat, lose weight and gain muscle -- How's my diet?
So, my day began at midnight when I went to sleep. I made myself a protein shake which seems to be helping me lose weight??? Go figure. Last week I wasn't under 262. This week I'm 260. Ok, so:
I am drinking Muscle Milk with 1% milk which has:
554 calories
23g fat
35g carbs
48g protein
Then I woke up around 7:15 and immediately made the same thing.
Waited an hour and a half and then went to the gym. I did cardio for 10 minutes, worked out on bis, tris and shoulders for 60 minutes and did another 20 minutes of cardio.
Then I got home and bought a delicious NYC multi-grain bagel double toasted with a schmere of cream cheese and 2 oz. of lox (freshest lox in NYC) about an hour and a half later along with, you guessed it, another chocolate shake.
I haven't eaten since then until just now when I had a tuna steak. Yum.
So far, it counts 2770 calories, 109g fat, 156g carbs, 277g protein.
So I'm at 37% fat, 21% carbs, 42% protein.
I want to get down to about 210-200. I'm not taking any other supplements besides MuscleMilk, like a fat burner, because I'm just a little scared of what they'll do to my body...some people can die from fat burners, no?

I would focus more on whole foods. That will be the consensus you get from most people on here. If you are dead set on a drink-able diet, then make sure you get a good multivitamin in there.

Which multi-vitiman would you recommend? Please give me something that's not a horse pill like Centrum.

Orange Triad is a good one. The pill goes down easily with some fluid.
You also have Now Adam as a choice.

I like Now Adam, it's got lot's of other herbs and stuff that you don't get with most name brand Multis. Also here's my current diet for cutting down... I switch it up a little bit here and there but it's basicly like this...
07:45 2 slices whole wheat bread, skimmed milk
6 egg whites fried in small amount of olive oil Mug green tea
10:00 150g/200g tuna or grilled chicken
Salad selection or Carrots
15ml flax or Udos oil
1:00 Shake: Meal Replacement
4:00 150/200g tuna or grilled chicken
30g wholemeal pasta or basmati rice
Fibrous veg selection
Mug green tea
5:30 Train, drinking water throughout
6:30 50g whey in water
3g l-leucine
(Excluded on non-training days)
7:30 150g lean red meat (swap for Chicken twice a week)
60g wholemeal pasta or basmati rice
Fibrous veg selection
9:30 40g protein blend shake
5 omega fish oil caps

i agree with most posts...
your diet does not look spectacular, but a little tweaking and more whole foods - oats, lean proteins, etc. could help a ton.
if you like liquids, keep some in - just take a good multi. i'm currently in love with controlled lab's orange TRIad - keeps my joints feeling good too. check it out.
also, as far as fat burners go people don't really "die" from them - do some research! look into some logs of ppl on fat burners. if you don't like stimulants, there are many other options.
that being said i wouldn't even jump on a fat burner type product yet until you get your diet, routine, and cardio in check. as everyone says diet+exercise=97%, the last 3% is for supplements so get everything else square first and then we can go to the fat burners. good luck!
