So... a box of fried rice is waiting for me in the kitchen :(
It's spicy egg fried rice from a chinese restaurant.. should I generally avoid this on a non cheat day? I normally eat 1 cup brown rice with 1/2 cup veggies, but I just ate chinese this Sunday.. so should I not eat this? It's part of my pre-wo cardio meal.

My pre-wo meal is usually this:
Cup of milk
Scoop of whey
Cup of brown rice
4oz grilled chicken
1/2 cup spinach/broccoli
Omega 3 pill
I know it's not horribly bad but would you guys say its ok to just eat the chinese rice, I only cheat every sunday night. This is an exception

Do you honestly think one time is going to make any physical difference whatsoever? If the pleasure of eating it outweighs the psychological distress it's apparently causing you, go for it. If you're going to worry about it later, then chuck it.

I'd tell you no, but if I were in your shoes... I'd eat it. Then, I'll blame my mom for buying. Strong internal locus of control I know...

x's 2.. c'mon guys, no offense but i think it is getting rather ridiculous with these 'make or break' threads when it comes to your diet..
Sure, eating brown rice and chicken is better for you than Chinese food, but if you can keep your macros in tact while eating it, and you feel OK about doing so - then by all means, eat the Chinese.. at an overall health standpoint it may not be deemed as healthy for you, but that being said,
the Chinese will not kill you, assuming you stay within your daily limits.

However if you do eat it even tho it wont have a physical/appearance effect......it will be harder to self control yourself in a situation like this again. Thats how it starts....ya its ok it wont do anything to me.....but after a week of reasuring yourself you might fall in a pit. Cheating is good but self control is better. You already had a cheat by not eating this one which you know you dont need, you will feel mentaly better and more foccused on your diet

Valid.. that's the double-edged sword we face.. I was just proving a point that you can still keep daily macros even if you happen to eat something like that, but making the healthier food choice is always the best decision.

I wouldn't want to live if I couldn't enjoy a cheat meal once in a while. The beauty of a cheat meal is that you're not supposed to feel guilty about it. Just eat and enjoy. No worries, man. Your progress will be hindered unless you make a habit of eating trash every day.

eat it, it's not going to kill you. Just don't go overboard with it. When my mom gets Chinese I make sure she gets them to use brown rice in the fried rice, maybe your restaurant will do the same next time.
