Why do people get so bloody bent over trying force someone to believe something?

Really it pisses me off. Ultimately no one knows what happens when we die.

Do religious people know if what they place their faith in will actually happen? No. Does that stop them from believing in a particular faith? No

Do atheist know for sure that we just fade into existence and nothing happens? No. Doest that make them terrible people for not believing in a faith? No.

Ffs get over the whole how can God be Omnipotent etc threads or There is one scripture in the entire holy book that is wrong. Really if you truly wanted to know what it means, or how these things are possible, you'd go to someone who knows what he's talking about and not bother the people who are on this forum. I can garantee they are still searching for answers as well.

Same thing goes with the creationist/Big bang/evolution arguments. There is always gonna be evidence against and for this topic. If you want answers ask experts, not random 17 yr olds on this forum. ANyone can google crap and post here.

AKR posted his life view the other day, it was pretty damn similar to mine, which goes to show that both sides should rather be concentrating on living their lives the best way they can. If that path leads you towards God, great as long as you are happy. If it doesnt, thats great too, for the same reason.

It sure isnt helpful for both sides to start attacking each other. Ie, you are a pathetic believer in faries, or you are gonna burn forever in hell. Both are negative views and both illustrate hatred, something that goes against the idea that we can naturally be decent human beings.

Sorry about the long post, im just tired of the rubbish that gets posted on this forum sometimes.

Religious people are suppose to try to save as many people as possible, it is part of their religion.

Atheist do not want to be forced to comply with religious standards that they feel are victimless activities.

It will never end.

Well this is a religion section.

But I would like to see about 95% politics and 5% religion in this forum.

There is 95% politics in this forum, but Middle Eastern politics. The only thing is, when you talk about Middle Eastern politics you WILL see RELIGION brought up no matter what.

Two main points are, because the state of Israel was created on the NAME OF RELIGION, and Middle Easts politics are heavily influenced by religion.

You cannot seperate that.

There is a difference between talking about how religions are impacting an area and 15 threads a day about how religious people are stupid or atheist are going to burn in hell.

It used to be more like that...which was great.

As of recently, I've spent much less time here due to all of the "I'm calling out religious folks" threads.

I find the political threads much more intelligent and enthralling, actually.

I disagree that nobody knows what will happen when we die.

The reason people "get so bloody bent over trying to force someone to believe something" is because when we die, and the reality of life is revealed, and people will be ushered into Hell in droves, they will ask the bearers of Truth "Why didn't you people get so bloody bent over trying to force us to believe something if you knew the consequences of not doing so?"

atheists/non-religious people might be resentful now and feeling "forced" to convert but believe me every last one one of you once you die will regret the decision to reject God in this life and what has been revealed for you.

So as long as there is religious people here there will be people wanting you to convert.
