My 1st Day At Camp.........

We lifted weights for 1 hour, only upper body work outs bench, military, some other stuff I don't now the names of. And 1 hour of running and doing specific drills for the postion you play. We did 20 40s, did 10 non top and took a water break and did 10 more. Then we did the specific drills, I was O-line so we did the steps we should take on run blocks and pass blocks. I fell once during the run blocking thing but nobody touched me, the gras was wet and my ass hurts lol.


I am actually stronger them I thought. Im like the 2nd or 3rd strongest person the the team (Freshmen that is) I was actually embarresed to go their cause I though I wasn't strong enough but it turned out to be good.

Tommorow is lower body work out like squat, dead lift, hang cleans, and some other stuff. We gona run some more 40s and do ladder quick steps to get quicker.

That's cool man. My camp doesnt start till Aug 13th. I REALLY wish we did weight training because we are not once in the weight room during the season and nobody really works out like I do. I know I am stronger in the weight room than ANYBODY else at my position (WR/DB).

But oh well...

Some advise, drink water even when you dont think you need it, your body can lie to you. Eat lots of food, good food that is, no McDonalds crap. I like to eat pasta and an orange w/ a bottled water before the 2nd practice. And lots inbetween. And get at least 8 hours of sleep! And drink water.

Oh, and if you dont get enough sleep, DO NOT drink energy drinks. The stuff that;s inside those things make you dehydrated which is exactly what you dont need. They dont really work for me anyways...

So wait your camp isny where you stay over night? Well dang, we stay overnight for 4 days of full pad practice right when August 6th hits.
