You Know You're From California When...

[why so ez?]

Found a bunch of these on a Facebook group, thought I'd share:

You know you're from California when...../Californians are better because............

1. You say "like" and "for sure" and "right on" and "dude" and "totally" and "peace out" and "chill" and "tight" and "bro" and "hell of" and "hella"(Nor Cal only) and "faded" and "stoked" and "fo sho" and you say them often
2. You know what real cheese taste like.
3. All the porn you watch is made here, cause we f*** better and thats how it is.
4. You don't get snowdays off because theres only snow in Mammoth, Tahoe, Shasta, and Big Bear.
5. You can wear sandals all year long.
6. You go to the Beach - not "down to the shore."
7. You know 65 mph really means 100.
8. When someone cuts you off, they get the horn and the finger and high speed chase cuz we dont f*** around on the road.
9. The drinking age is 21 but everyone starts at 14.
10. Our governor can kick your governors ass.
11. You judge people based on what area code they live in, and when asked where you're from, you give your area code.
12. You might get looked at funny by locals when you're on vacation in their state, but when they find out you're from California you turn into a Greek GOD.
13. We don't stop at stop signs... we do a "california roll". No cop no stop baby!
14. You can get fresh and REAL Mexican food 24 hours a day.
15. All the TV shows you "other" states watch get filmed here.
16. We're the Golden State. Not the Cheese State. Not the Garden State.....GOLDEN!!!
17. We have In-N-Out (Arizona and Vegas are lucky we share that with them).
18. We have the most representation in the House of Representatives, which means our opinion means more than yours, which means we're better than you.
19. The best athletes come from here.
20. Oh, and no one from California calls it Cali... that's how we know you're not from around here.
21. The fastest part of your commute is down your driveway.
22. Your sense of direction=Toward the ocean and away from the ocean.
23. Your monthly house payments exceed your annual income.
24. Your family tree contains "significant others."
25. You see 25 lawyers chasing an ambulance.
26. You go to a tanning salon before going to the beach.
27. All highways out of the state say: "Go back."
28. You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from California.
29. A really great parking space can totally move you to tears.
30. A low speed police pursuit will interrupt ANY TV broadcast.
31. Gas costs $1.00 per gallon more than anywhere else in the U.S.
32. The guy at 8:30 am at Starbucks wearing the baseball cap and sunglasses who looks like George Clooney IS George Clooney.
33. Your car insurance costs as much as your house payment.
34. You can go snowboarding and surfing within the same day.
35. You mourned for Tupac and not for Biggie.
36. You go to the beach and see that real lifeguards actually do look like the lifeguards from Baywatch.
37. You begin to "lie" to your friends about where you are (i.e. "Yeah I'm like 20 minutes away") - when you know that it'll take you at least an hour to get there).
39. You make a conscious choice to watch Jay Leno over David Letterman
40. You know it's best not to be on the 405 at 4:05 pm.
41. If your destination is more than 5 minutes away on foot, you're definitely driving.
42. You can't fall asleep without the lull of a helicopter flying overhead.
43. You think that Venice is a beach.
44. You drive next to a Rolls Royce and don't notice.
45. When giving directions , you follow up with the phrase: "With/Without traffic."
46. Driving along, you see a high-speed police chase approaching in your rear view mirror. You don't panic or even flinch. Instead, you call your friends on your car phone and tell them you're on TV.
47. Everyone you know has 3+ phone numbers. Home, Office, mobile, pager, two-way, voicemail.....
48. You are awakened in the middle of the night by a moderate earthquake. Your reply: "That ain't even a 5-pointer" and go back to sleep.
49. You go to Las Vegas for a weekend getaway and the whole trip cost you $50.
50. You say you live in LA when really you live in a subsection of a subsection of a subsection of southern LA.
51. The gym is packed at 3pm...on a workday.
52. You call 911 and they put you on hold.
53. It doesn't surprise you to see someone carrying their dog in the grocery store or mall

lol i drove home from pennsylvania this summer. wanted to stop by st louis to watch a cardinals game but they were out of town. but was able to watch yankees vs white sox in chicago and then diamondbacks vs rockies in denver.

Still I would live there if I had the money to make it a good life.
