Vastus Lateralus

I'm currently a bit unhappy with the overall width (especially outer quad) of my legs when viewed from the front. Are there any tricks anybody has to really target the vastus lateralus muscle group on the outside of the quad?

To the O/P : like scottness101 said, keep your feet closer together while doing both squats and leg presses (toes pointing straight ahead).
