****Anyone ever notice how eveything in the world just happens to be in balance?****#
I was just thinking today, do you ever notice that certain things that take place in our world just happen to be moderate? Let me explain...
Look at something like a "AA" Battery, they only last for like 6 or 7 hours, don't you think with the amount of technology avalible that you could easily get like 100 hours out of a battery, but companies don't just so that you have to keep buying.
Also, if the earth was any closer to the sun ( i mean a couple thousand KM, which in comparison to the univers isnt much) then we would all burn up from the heat?
What im saying is that everything just happens to be "in perfect placement".... can anyone else think of any other things like this?

Gosh, I wish they'd invent something so you could "recharge" the batteries. That way you woudlnt have to keep buying them.

You mean like, a battery charger?
Trust me, it will be a long long time before scientists come up with a way to charge batteries.

Agreed. The notion itself is inconceivable. No scientists want to delve that far into black science.

you would be a good candidate to watch "The Universe" on the history channel.. tuesdays at 9 ... The planets on science channel is good too.. there are numerous shows..
i know what ya mean though.. were just a tiny ball floating in the middle of NOTHING... most people take space for granted... they dont realize just how massive it is.. everything i watch the above mentioned show, I realize how small out role in the universe is..

"The Universe" is a great show, our galaxy for example is HUGE. They said that our galaxy is like a grain of sand of all the sand on earth. It boggles the mind how big the universe is.

I like that your two examples were battery longevity and the earth's proximity to the sun...wow...just, wow

We already adopted to the heat of the sun, so we would be destroyed if the sun came a little bit closer. Although, if it gradually started getting closer to earth, I have a feeling we would evolve and adopt to the new temperature.

I believe it is getting closer. I was under the impression the sun grows at a slow pace?

I read somewhere that the sun shrinks 5ft/hour. It makes sense that it's shrinking because it's burning up a lot of "fuel" to provide us with solar energy.

Oh, I thought stars expand, and then quickly collapse.

Not all stars turn into red giants as far as im aware.
Gravity is pushing it inward, but reactions/heat/fusion make it expand, its neither gettin bigger or smaller, its in 'balance', so when all the fuel burns out in the core, itll get cooler, and collapse in on itself.
Thats my understanding.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_giant - read up on that though, might explain a bit more

Eventually when all the Helium is used up, the star will begin fusion and start expanding until it collapses.
