If you go to bed after 11 PM you will not burn fat and u will wake up bloated and fat
Hello all: Even though i go to bed at 2AM, i should go to bed any time before 11 PM. I read in a science article the fat-burning hormones of sleeping time actually do their work if you go to bed before 12 or before 11 PM. That's when the fat-burning hormones actually work.
The article claimed that people who go to bed after 12 AM or 1 AM get elevated cortisol hormones (stress hormones, and fattening hormone). If you go to bed after 1AM, you will not feel the fat-burning effect that sleep has, and actually what will happen is that you will wake up bloated, with a bloated-face, puffy look. And not with a chiseled-effect that body-builders would like. What you have to do is try to prepare your bed time for 10 PM and work from there, try to wakeup earlier a lot earlier so that you can burn adjust your biological clock to go to bed earlier next day
I am gonna be honest with u, i go to bed at 2AM and my cortisol levels (stress hormones), these cortisol hormones actually increase fat in our bodies, water retention, etc. and that's why i wake up with a puffy bloated appearnce because i go to bed late like at 2am.
ut when u go to bed earlier a lot earlier like at 10 PM, u will wake up real defined. The body is a scientific machine, it's not like people think.
Losing weight is a science, it's not like dumb people think that losing weight is just about less calories taken and do more work
I hope this helps, but remember, go to bed at 10 PM or 11 PM if u can :-)
Take care all
Juan Carlos

I call BS,
I work a job where I don't get home to ge to sleep until 2 or 3 am, and when I wake up, I don't feel a bit bloated or anything, even with taking a pre-sleep shake.

I am guessing that 11 or 12 would be based on getting up at 7 (or something similar). I think the point of such an article would be to be sure to get enough sleep consistently, not to be sure you go to bed at 11 regardless of when you wake up.

I go to bed around 1am, been doing so for years. I only wake up bloated when I had too many carbs the day before. Is there a reason you post threads that you know people aren't going to agree with? Your last thread was the whey protein thing right?

Maybe there's some truth to the idea of the report. But I'd think the actual hours would be diferent for everyone depending on their own circadium rhythm

this guy is a troll..
he's been trying to push his ideas and have failed miserably....
talking about whey protein being very bad....etc etc.....
if you sleep at 3am and get 8 hours. youll be just fine.
if you sleep at 11p and get up at 2a then you wont be fine.
i think it depends how much sleep you get.

Who sent you? Are you really serious. I think as adults we are all blessed with a certain wisdom to understand when we are reading garbage and what would make for good information or topic material. It doesnt matter what time you hit the sack. What does matter is the amount of time you rest. Please dont start anymore threads. But then again you may like those red squares under your avatar!!!!!!

I only get 5 hours sleep. I wake up a lot less bloated then when I went to bed.
Probably why I'm still fat though - pathetic 6-pack - I just can't get that 8-pack to show, now I know what the problem is!
Maybe if I start drinking heavily I'll get more sleep and the 8-pack?

I think he writes everything he posts himself, because he's usually the only source.

what effect do time zones have on this principle?
i mean, surely, if people in america should go to sleep at 11 pm people in australia can't go to bed at 11 pm too!!
maybe americans are all so fat because we sleep at the wrong times!
... what a troll.

It can have some effect on fat loss.
For example, if you goto bed late and get up late, like 1am and wake up at 10am, you generally tend to do less as it gets late, and your metabolism slows down because you dont do much activity. Then when you wake up at 10am you have lost some of your day.
Where as if you go to bed at 10-11pm you spend less time sitting around before bed, and should get up earlier naturally at around 8-9am, and when you get up in the morning you tend to be more active than at night.
If that makes sense.
