I finally got the balls to talk to this cute girl in my class...

Whats up everyone,
I'm a big fan of the misc session and i thought it was time to ask for advice.

I've been taking a summer class for the past 3 weeks and there's this really cute girl in it. Last night after class i finally got the balls to talk to her. We were walking outside of the building and i could tell that she was behind me because she was talking on the phone. She got off the phone and started walking past me cuz i was walking kinda slow. So i turn around and say something like "hey how you doin" and smile at her. She smiles back and says something like "really good."

We talk for the next 5-10 minutes as we walk back towards the dorms. I ask if she would like to get dinner or study sometime and she says that would be great and i ask for her number. I get the number, we continue talking about stuff, no awkward moments at all, i pulled it off pretty well. So legit 15 min. after i we leave eachother she adds me on facebook.

At this point i think i have a pretty good chance. This all happened last night. The thing is, i texted her TONIGHT saying: "It was straight meeting you last night have a crazy time at the beach im expecting stories on monday aright?"

It's been a while and she hasn't responded. What do you guys think? Girls usually always have their cell phones by their sides so is she just legit not interested? But at the same time she happily gave me her number and added me right away on facebook...

aha i dunno where u guys are from but over here people use "straight" in that way a lot...i guess it's like second nature for me now i didn't realize

don't worry about it. If thats how you talk thats how you talk dont change the way you are for other people. Be yourself, if that girl is not attracted to you for being yourself **** her. i wouldnt worry about the text message, just by you coming here and asking if her not texting you back is bad or not screams desperate don't be desperate! just do your thing if shes treuly attracted to you you wont have to do much!

shes not going to be creeped out cause you said straight in that context.. just dont use it again. i think your stressing for no reason, she'll probably reply back.

if anything i dont think me saying straight was the problem...if anything shes not interested despite sending the impression she was or she got creeped out by me being a little controlling in the text ... "i expect stories on monday" what do you think?

nah u shdnt have done that after getting that number and asking her on the date u shd have left it at that but texting someone after u just meet them would be a little overwhleming to them at the beginning but COMMENTING her not messaging...on myspace or facebook would be just fine

mate why would she reply to that? if i got a text like that i wouldn't, there is no question being asked of me. saying "ok" would just be a waist of her 5 cents.

texting is really different to calls. there is no obligation to reply as fast as possible, if really at all.

talk to her on tuesday in person.

this is what you did wrong

first, you talked TOO MUCH in that text. you gotta write it like you dont really care what she does. that way she'll want to come back and tell you her stories in person

second, wtf kind of message is that. you're just begging for attention. there is no real response she can really give to that except "uh okay"

lol it was good until the text, but that doesn't matter much. u did good and it sounds smooth man. just wait for her to respond, and if she doesn't, just talk to her on monday in class.
