Fruit first thing in the morning?
Breakfast for me usually is;
egg whites
bowl of oats
2 slices of ezekiel
Banana or raisens
or
bowl of shredded wheat
w/ raisens and banana
is puting sugar into my system first thing a bad idea? I hear mixed thoughts on it

there is nothing wrong with fruit in the morning
if i were u for ur 2nd meal with ur bowl of shredded wheat and raisins and banans i would get a protein source in there such as a whey shake or something
never have just carbs for breakfast.. u need to break the catabolic state after sleeping and not having food in ur system for so long..and depriving the body of protein in the morning isnt the best thing to do!

fruits are OK in the morning. Much better PWO. The sugars in fruits help replenish liver glycogen stores after a hard workout.

So you think FRUCTOSE will replenish GLUCOSE (ie glycogen)? You seem to have a problem with carbohydrate metabolism.

No seems you are confused. Or have trouble reading. He said restores LIVER glycogen which is correct.
Supplements composed of glucose or glucose polymers are the most effective for replenishment of muscle glycogen, whereas fructose is most beneficial for the replenishment of liver glycogen

EAT YOUR FRUITS. In the morning and in the am is the best time IMO. Trying to not abuse on evening but anyway, fruit won't ever make you fat.

actually fruit is always awesome for u
and ps after a workout u really need more muscle glycogen replenishment then liver glycogen replenishment. I think Alan Aragon has touched on this a few times. None the less i always have a banana in my pwo shake. And i have fruit in the morning aswell

Not to mention that most fruits are some combination of the two, with some even having more glucose than fructose.
