dietary effects on metabolism?
k so its often recommended when bulking to eat as much as possible as often as possible, aiming for around 6 meals a day
ive heard that eating frequently boosts metabolism, making it easier for your body to process the constant flow of nutrients
being the ecto that i am im constantly eating everything i can all day long in an effort to put on size... but i wonder if im going about this the wrong way?
to give an idea how fast my metabolism is, i eat a legit 4500 cals per day with 200g+ protein, 400g+ carbs and the rest comes from fats, i dont train abs and look like my pics everyday
my question is this... since eating multiple smaller meals a day supposedly boosts metabolism would eating fewer, bigger meals (say 2 or 3) per day slow my metabolism?

Its a common deception lol, eating smaller more frequent meals has little to no effect on metabolism speed. Just makes it easy to down all those calories and keeps a positive nitrogen balance in your body.

If its easy for you yea.
Find out how many calories you need in a day if you were in a coma (your BMR)
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/
Then multiply that by an activity factor
To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows:
If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9
The add or subtract 200-500 depending on your goals

Dude you're COMPLAINING about a slow metabolism? I'm an ecto too (yes, sorry to all the ecto haters lol) and damn man, complaining about having a fast metabolism, and trying to SLOW it is the last thing on my mind. I consider myself blessed to have the option of eating junk all day and not seeing any bad side effects (atleast as far as fat gain goes).
Just continue to eat your meals and bust your ass in the gym, and it will come. It came for me, and I don't even want to take the time to post my entire diet (it's very similar to yours lol). Maybe try and add in even MORE calories to try and gain more quality size. Don't, however, try and slow your metabolism tho.

Doh, I mean't, "Your COMPLAINING about a fast metabolism." My mistake, I just typed wrong. I know what you were trying to say, and I'm in the same boat as you. You just gotta increase your over all caloric intake throughout the day man, as hard as that may be. I know 4500 cals is hard, especially if they're all clean, but you gotta find some way to do it.
Hell, my diet consists of around 4500 a day, if not more. Sometimes, when I'm really active, and am REALLY hungry, I'll let my diet slip a little bit.
For you, try adding in more fats to your diet (if you feel comfortable doing that). Fats are easily ingested, and contain more cals per gram than carbs or protein. So packing a big fat pb and jelly sandwhich will probably be higher up on the calorie scale than a turkey breast sandwhich, know what I mean?
