Going to be maxing out in 3 weeks. Any pointers?

Do you guys have any tips or any last minute things i could do before i max out in about 3 weeks???

I will be maxing squat and bench.


Any good, last minute tips for strength to help on my touch-n-go bench???


And do yall have any good meals or anything i can eat before i max?

i have read (and i dont beleive everything that i read) that you want to load up on carbs before a competition... seeing as how a max day would be similar to a competition, you want to load your muscles with stored glycogen (by eating carbs)....

good luck w/your max's...

what are you shooting for? (goals?)

On the last week before your maxes do not do any assistance exercises only bench press and squat e.g

Monday
Squat 3 sets of 2 of 90% of your old max
Squat Negs. 1 set of 3 of 120% of your old max
Benchpress 5 sets of 2 of 80% of your old max (you may get the urge to do more coz its light but dont, its like a prime)

Wednesday
Bench 3 sets of 2 of 90% of your old max
Bench Negs. 1 set of 3 of 120% of your old max
Squats 5 sets of 2 of 80% of your old max (you may get the urge to do more coz its light but dont, its like a prime)

Sunday or following Monday

idk what i want for bench or squat. i think im going to max raw touch n go bench, and then raw squat and then in a suit.

probably 210-220 for bench.

335-350 for raw squat.

and 435-450 for suited squat.

These were about the same numbers i got last time but i was also 25 pounds heavier.

already got one, i may max on deadlift though, i think i could get 415, on a fresh day, and i didnt even pump my self up on the 405. also before i pulled 405, i pulled 385 which was a new PR.
