Talking To all Animal Pak lovers! (a little review)

So...you heard about it ..you tried it and wow...it improved your strength, muscle mass etc. Or did it?! Seriously that's just what you were made to think. ---ANIMAL pak---this thing sure makes me a monster. Relax it's just a multi, well a multi + some extra stuff. Now let's look into what this "super" multi contains. Since on average people take one pak a day I'll work with these numbers. Ok let's see:

Vitamins:

VitA: 5000IU not even 10k IU. And not all of it comes from beta-carotene
Vit C: 500mg...decent amont...if you supplement with some more vit. C
Vit D: 340 IU good
Vit. E 150IU...seriously needs supplementation with extra vit E
B-complex: about 35-40 mg .....I personally would take another B-50 complex besides this during the day

Minerals (not chelated I might add!):

Calcium (citrate,carbonate) 1g very good
Magnesium 65mg....please!! need supplementation here as well with 300-500 more
Chromium 28mcg ....wow!!! the good ol' chromium...need 150-200 more
Zinc 15mg decent... 30 would've been better
Selenium 25mcg ...would definetely help to have more selenium here

Amino acid blend, EFA, Digestive enzymes, performance optimizers....is it just me or most of them are just added there so the list gets bigger..you know...to impress people !

Conclusion:

To me this is just marketing or whatever you wanna call it. Besides not being a solid pak they charge more than the other paks as well. So it's up to you. Do you really wanna spend this much money on this or would you rather build your own pak....better than this and much cheaper.

Just my 2.01 cents!

Yeah, DX7. It's a better multi than Animal Pak and it cost less.

I've also always been suspecious of the quality of Universal products.

I dunno about the price, but they DO work. When I take them, I'm stronger and have better workouts than when I don't. Can't deny that.

Here's an example of a self made pak:
1.Adam Super Multi for Men (good amounts of vitamins and minerals,no iron, chelated minerals, +bunch of other goodies for men)
For the following any brand would pretty much do:
2.B-50 complex
Great additional pluses:
- 50mg of choline/inositol/paba
- time-released
3.Vitamin C
Good pluses:
- has also some bioflavonoids, rutin, rose hips etc. as well
- time-released
4.Vitamin E (400IU) natural
5.Calcium/Magnesium complex (should be citrate or coral, no oxides)
6.Dessicated Liver tabs

Hey Scorpio,

I have used animal paks for years and they make me feel more energized and keep me feeling good (no illness, inlcuding colds in the last 4 years).

I just looked at my can of pak and realized some of the info you just discussed is incorrect, even if youa re looking at just one pak. see list below:

Vitamin A at 5000 IU is just what you need, its 100% of the DV

Vitamin C at 500mg is not bad at all, its much better than all of the other multis that most guys on here take.

Vitamin E at 150IU has more than double any of other popular multis

B Vitamins. it think you were just looking at the B6 and B12, but there are many others on there that are B vitamins as well including thiamin, riboflavin, etc.

I would not give up the conveience of the Pak to make my own multi and save a bit. I pay like 21 bucks for 44 paks which last me like 1 1/2 months. that is not bad at all.

Once I tried the pak awhile back I couldnt look at any other multis, nothing matches the content or the way it makes me feel.
