Why don't college kids go to war?
Because what you do at home is more beneficial to everyone, including the country.

Your wrong, and you have now been corrected.. in fact troops consistently say, this war is able to be won if we ARE WILLING TO WIN IT.

Can you apply that to how it would have worked for the Civil War, WW1, and WW2, The Balkans, need more?
When was the last time kids going to college freed Europe? or forced our Union back together?

I see. I realize that if you go by kill ratios, then yes, america is winning the war, and that might be what causes the troops to think that they're "winning". however, is any progress actually being made? Is iraq nearing stability? or is it falling further and further into chaos?
I think that most people at home are dissatisfied with the war because, from what they can tell, the situation is not getting better, its getting worse. That is why public opinion has gradually gone against the war.
i don't think the american public is really hindering the war effort all that much. they don't control government spending. yeah, they bitch and moan, but does that really have an effect on whats going on in iraq?
