Injured RC, off manual labor for one week... can I still workout at the gym?

The doctor told me to stop manual labor for 1 week to let my RC heal, but can I still workout at the gym? Maybe work on my lower body and arms?

assuming it is nothing major, having it take only 1 week to heal, i would workout "smartly" meaning doing excercises that do not have any risk in injuring your shoulder further such as leg pressing instead of squating. I would personally not risk doing arms.

However you can use this as an advantage and let your body rest from working out. So when you come back you will be able to shock it.

Make sure you know how to isolate your muscles so you do not use your shoulders at all then. But personally I'd take the week off because 1 week off once every while is actually beneficial.

I wouldn't do anything. If you mess it up more, then you could be out from lifting for even longer. Taking a week off every once in a while is beneficial. Hell, it's necessary. Just keep up your diet and do a bit(!) of cardio.

working out is much more taxing on your body than physical labor...dont do anything but legs...with arms you rc still gets some pressure put on it, just do legs a coulple times...some cardio maybe...and rest
