ok i think my body need a rest. so im taking a week off i made some great progress in the last 2 months. so this week i'm stoping everything except the protein shakes. i dont want my body to adapt to what i been doing. so this time off would be good. plus i want to get my diet in order 100%.
the qustions i have are,how should i eat while taking this time off?
should i eat the same or mantnice or over mantince.
if any body have any suggests on what i should do while taking this time off.
this is to get me ready for my next goal

Why are you taking a week off from proper nutrition? I don't think your body needs a break from that. Or do you mean you are taking a week off from working out?

I would eat maintenance, with a good balance of macros. I think taking a week off is a great idea, time to recharge etc. But I think some light cardio, i.e. walking here and there would be beneficial also, just to keep your body moving.

the worst case you'll gain in a week is a pound of fat, i wouldnt worry about it, and if anything you'll even gain some LBM from recovering of the week before. anything else would probably just be bloating etc... just depends on how "off" you go with your diet.

If you are currently 500 cal below maintenance, I would say eat at the same levels you are eating now. This would put you at slightly above maintenance if you are cutting back on activity.
Reason behind this is you are giving your body the nutrients it needs to recover. You could even up calories slightly to "rev-up" your metabolism.

Why stop exercise all together? I can see you wanting to take a break from the gym, but if I were you I would be extra conscious of making sure that I am active throughout the days. Try to go out for a bike ride, go hiking, mow the lawn, go for a walk. Simple stuff, just to keep you active. Honestly, I dont see how after 2 months your body needs to take time off. If your worried about it adapting to your workouts, then just change it up a bit and do different exercises/routines. Not bashing you or anything, if you've been making good progress a week off is fine assuming you don't binge like crazy. I think its good sometimes to take a break from the usual routine, whether you need it physically, or just some time off mentally.

i been doing this for 3 years. this is the first week i took off in 3 years. i went from 400lbs to 270lbs. i think my body might need a break from lifting weights. that is all i'm doing one week off from the weights.

Your doing the right thing by taking some time off. Just be careful with the cheat meals. Pay close attention to what your mind does when you eat a favorite past junk food. If you start going overboard, like eating a whole box of ho ho's for example, you might want to stay to a clean diet. Your mind will remember that it loves to eat big calories of ho ho's so reintroducing your mind to it may cause cravings to come back.
Looking at your pictures you are doing extremely well. Congradulations! I'm impressed.

Definitely... I had to take a break from lifting a couple weeks ago for about 5 days... It wasn't my choice, but I had to go visit family.
When I came back to lifting, I felt like I could lift the whole day, I felt amazing.
breaks are definitely great for your body to recover, you can probably gain a little mass and get better lifts to, to help your body repair.
