You can't spot reduce fat - i.e. just lose fat in your hips and stomach.

You may be genetically predisposed to store fat in certain areas, however targeting that area with exercise won't reduce the fat on it.

Do some cardio to burn fat and lift weights to maintain muscle.

Honestly you need to do a lot of general basic reading about the subject of dieting and weight loss. Pick up an e-book called "Burn the fat feed the muscle" http://www.burnthefat.com/ at the very least and read it.

It would probably take 4 pages worth of posts from people in this thread to fill in all the basics you can find on your own and it will be faster fr you to do it on your own.

You can't expect to come into a forum when you know absolutely nothing and come away with the knowledge and outlook you need just from a few posts by people.

Read read read learn learn learn.

Please kindly do some research. Did you ever hear the phrase, "give a man a fish, he will eat for the day, teach a man to fish, he will eat for the rest of his life"?

That applies here to you. Maybe I'm wrong but to me it's obvious you know absolutely nothing about anything to do with sports nutrition. You're asking people here to spend time detailing every little thing to you.

It's easy to tell you "eat this many calories, make sure it's this ratio, make sure you eat x times daily, do this kind of workout" but that's like telling someone who doesn't know how to drive a car exactly how to put a car in reverse and back out of a driveway. They go through the motions but have absolutely no idea what they're doing and why, and if something doesn;t go as planned, they're screwed and have no idea how to rectify an issue. In essence , they're helpless as are you right now.

Seriously, take a day or 2 to just READ. Of course the book I linked to you isn;t free. But it's a good book and well worth the money. Everyone involved in this game of fitness paid money in some way shape or form for things they felt were worth it. It's a lifetime investment, and worth the money for good information. You can find good info here for free, if you read read read. You shouldn't come here expecting people to drop everything and sit down for an hour and write out a huge essay on what to do for a beginner and why. There's lready a ton of newbie posts on this forum and all across the internet detailing those steps, they've already been done, go find them and read them.

Once you have the bare basics of fat loss metabolism and nutrition down, and you need little details filled in, then you can search google, or if that fails, ask here. But don't expect the people here to be your personal free fitness / nutrition/ physiology teachers.
