F*ck New York City. New York City SUCKS. I HATE New York City.
This is what my friend believes, and he hasn't even visited the damn city. He believes he knows what NYC is all about because he sees it in movies and the media all the time. This is SO ignorant. That's like me hating a movie I haven't even seen myself. "It's all hype" is what he says. LOL how does he know it's all hype if he hasn't been there himself??
He told me all he hears about are homeless people and trash everywhere in NYC. And how it's #1 in crime rate. LOL, I sent him this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_..._by_crime_rate and NYC is lower than San Antonio in crime rate, the city he's from.
Help me prove to this retard that NYC is tight. It's the mother****ing city that never sleeps. Hot chicks everywhere when you walk down the street.
Cliffs:
Friend HATES NYC even though he's never been there.
Want to try to change his mind that NYC is a city worth checking out.

As far as big cities go NYC is the best in the world imo. It has everything, and the history is ridiculous. I would love to travel to 1000 other places, but NYC is still the ****.

Unless you are someone looking to work 80 hours a week and be a complete phoney and hang out with complete phoney types NYC isnt for you.
Its become sadly a place for the money-success obsessed and nowone has the time to even talk to eachother there.
Chicago/San Francisco/Vancouver/Las Vegas/Montreal/Austin/Denver/Miami+South Fla are all better places to visit and I would imagine live.

Chicago does pwn. So does SF, LV, and Austin. I can't have an opinion for the other places you listed since I haven't been there
My friend and I live in Austin and go to UT. It is pretty badass, I must admit.

Soho, Greenich and the Village are in my opinion the heart of the city. Most people will give the Times Square area that title but I think that lower Manhattan has a much more interesting history. Every tourist should check out the 14th street area when they come to visit. Also don't forget the outer boroughs.
