Weird poll from ESPN. I dont think theres any comparison between the two.

LDT (I refuse to allow him to steal the nickname "LT") is arguably the best player in the game with the best athletes on the planet. Beckham was never a dominant soccer player and was famous for a red card in '98, marrying a spice girl, and being good looking.

Actually Beckham was United's main goal maker back in the day with Cole and Yorke. I don't think any other player in the premiership put in that amount of crosses in the 90's.

I'm no beckham fan, but the guy was arguably the most dominant football player in England and for England when he was in his prime. Beckham was famous long before his famous red card, in the same sense Rooney was before his red-card.

I also dont agree with the remark that football players are pussies, ive seen plenty of broken nose/limbs/bones in football. i dont watch american football, but those guys are wearing more armour than a tank.

Try watching Rugby, american football players look like pussies to them guys, who wear nothing but gum-shields.

i just watched a couple of rugby clips, and that does look like a pretty tough sport. although it does kind of remind me of backyard football.

In rugby you arnt covered in pads and helmets. infact, like i said, the only padding a player tends to wear is a gum-shield, 'some' (as its down to personal choice) might wear a hat that covers ears to protect from being torn off / mangled.

Rugby is a brutal sport.
