who here has gotten 90 in math?

i need to get a 90 in summer school...it starts in 7 days, im preparing for it now, studying, going over everything, i know ill pass, maybe with a 70, 80 if im lucky, but how the hell do i get a 90? Ive seen asian people do it all the time, i dont understand...

i had a 41 in calculus (50 is a pass in canada), i never payed attention in that class, never did my work.

this time i will be spending my entire day studying, obviously i will do my homework and practise and **** but even still i dont know if thats enough

on the bright side, summer school is easier than normal school and am coming from a pretty hard school so it should definitley be easier

So i guess herez what ill be doing
- as much homework and practise as possiable
- coming to class 1/2 hr early
- staying after class 1/2 hr to review with teacher (if possiable)
- preparing for it RIGHT NOW
- scheduling things like going to the gym so they consume as little time as possiable

what else could i do? Im pretty worried about this, its really important that i get that mark.

EDIT: Although you may assume it, im not a dumb kid, i seriously never cared about math, my focus was on other classes

Just study, and do work when there is. If it means not going out, then do so.

Do all your work and check everything before you hand it in.

How do you study math, practice? Just do your work and you'll get plenty of practice.

But check things before you hand them in. For pretty much any math problem there is an easy way to check. 5+3=8 so 8-3=5 type crap.

A little bit off-topic, but why do Americans always say "math" and not "maths"? Sounds really weird to someone from the UK.

i made good grades in math. this is what i do


1. i have the teacher work through a problem with me
2. i work through 1 or 2 problems by myself with the teacher standing over me to make sure im doing everything right/to explain things i dont quite know
3. then i do the work myself and double check everything and if im in denial on a problem i'll go back to the teacher and show her what i did and she will correct me on things ive done wrong if there are anything
4. usualy end up getting everything right unless i completely ****ed up a problem or forgot to put a small sign or decimal point or something or i just didnt have time to ask the teacher to check the ones i think i made a mistake on

I got 96% in math 11.
All I did was pay FULL attention while learning the formulas, how they work.
I never did my homework, got 100% on all tests.
You just gotta have a strong base for math.
Because if you dont know how to divide or multiply, you cant do trinomials (just an example)

Instead of doing summer school you should do it online its way easier. all the unit tests are online so you can have the book out while you do it, and you have to do a written assignment every 2 units that have to be handed in and 2 cumulatives that have to be done at the center plust the diploma. Way easier than doing it in class.

lol not true, therez people that try and get courses done early so ill probably see some grade 11s taking it

and last year i went there too (since i wanted to switch from applied to academic), and met this one asian guy who was like a year older than me, not sure what his story was but he was behind a grade for some reason
