Matt Hardy is on a ROLL!
Alright, a lot of folks thought Hardy got dicked around when he returned to the WWE. They all said he should've gone to TNA and that he'd regret resiging with the WWE.
I gotta tell you, I'm becoming a bigger and bigger Matt Hardy fan every single damn week. I think JBL has something to do with it.
His match vs. Regal, then against Finlay tonight. Next week, I wanna see Hardy go against Dave Taylor. He could have some real stellar matches just for the sake of competition. No storyline needed. No gimmick needed. Watcha see is what you get, etc.
I would LOVE to see Matt Hardy win the Royal Rumble and face Edge at WM24. Realistically, I see Matt holding a World Title by 2009. He's on a roll. Every week, the dude gets a bigger pop.
Smackdown continually is the A Show - and Matt Hardy is a large part of that.

i disagree. Matt is way WAY over right now, I wouldn't tinker with what works. Who knows? He could be one of those guys who turns heel and fades into obscurity. He needs to ride the face wave until he hits main event level when a heel turn really matters.

His matches are the only one ive watched for the past few weeks.
This push is s much better than seeing him wrestle Gregory Helms week after week like he did a year ago.

never liked matt hardy, never will. he annoys me with his lil "AHH" right before he jumps off the rope. if he ever wins a world title i will never watch WWE again lol.. i would be kinda pissed since curt henning, rick rude or the bulldog never got to win one in thier time.

Personally, Matt and Jeff's "Rocker" look annoys me. They're not 20-something anymore and it looks ridiculous to me. They can still entertain the crowds, but they need to evolve.

I agree with that last comment....Jeff especially. He looks like he tries WAY too hard to be different, when he looks the same as every other wannabe punk/emo type.
I dunno, I want to like Matt, but he just doesn't seem to have that spark...the whole situation with lita also soured me on him, not because of how he acted (well actually yeah but after I learned the next fact), but because he cheated on some guy with Lita before that, so in a way it was just turnabout being fair play. I also can't stop seeing him as the guy who jobbed for about a year or two straight, including a straight up slaughtering at the hands of edge at summerslam, b eing brutalised in Finlay's first match and JBL killing him...and that's not to mention Viscera literally raping him in the royal rumble, mid ring, a few years back.
Solid mid carder, don't see anything more. I also a lost a lot of respect for him that he went back to WWE after they treated him like they did...I understand wanting money, but he played TNA and his own fans who supported him, and he must have made enough by that point to be incredibly financially secure....there is such a thing as self pride and not being someone's bitch, be it a man, woman or company.

never really liked the V1 character, i like matt hardy how he is now, he deserves a push for the US title. the only things i like about his V1 character were the funny facts that'd appear on the titantron during his entrance. "matt uses a heated toilet seat for extra comfort" etc haha.

Couldn't agree more with that.
Smackdown is definitely the A show imo, and a very significant part of that for me is how JBL manages to make everyone look/sound like a million bucks.
Just goes to show how much an effective commentator can add to a show.

Matt Hardy has toned down alot as far as all the poppy stuff he used to do. The screaming before the leg drop isn't as nutty as it used to be. He's an awesome worker, not a spot fest like Jeff. And he actually has a desire to be the greatest. JBL is doing him a huge favor in selling him to the tv audience every week. I think if Matt would put on like, 10 pounds of muscle, just to sell the look of a main eventer, Vince would be hard pressed not to push him to the main event.
There's already a built in feud with Edge just waiting to happen.

The only problem with Matt adding 10 lbs of muscle is that ideally it should be mainly to his legs as they seem to lag compared to the rest of his body, imo.
I believe he has some kind of injury or condition that prevents him being able to do squats which would be a major stalling block. But I'd definitely welcome a move up to the main event though.

His name and MAIN EVENTING WM shouldn't come in the same sentence...... same with Mysterio, Benoit, Regal, ect.

He's a solid talent, whose the most over midcarder on either of the three brands. Maineventing WM is a bit brash, admitted...but a WHC in his future is a definite possibility.

Well, I don't know if Matt "Frickin" Hardy belongs in the main event right now or not, but I guess I'm cool with it if it happens. I'd still watch if he were the champ.
All I know is Benoit should definately be there, again. Next time with a better booked title run. Maybe he'll become ECW world champion. If he does, I'd say that's a start, but hopefully that's not it. I'd much rather see him become WHC or WWE champ.
