Girl wont make eye contact with me?

I've been talking to this girl about a week. We always talk on the phone and I've seen her 3 times now for about 4 hours each time. She seems really interested but she will not make eye contact which has prevented me from making a move. I cant figure it out. Whats your opinion on this?

Hmm what is the nationality of this girl?

Cause I have read on many places that asians,middle easterners and some spanish folk consider it to be rude to maintain eye contatc, yes it opposite to what is said in USA but dosent make it wrong...
So yeh if she is not a white girl from USA or Aus or UK chances are it maybe in her culture not to maintain eye contact.

In my experience, many people that cannot look you straight in the eye for any length of time have something wrong with them. They are probably hiding something and just being plain deceitful. Not being able to look someone in the eye during a conversation is not a sign of good character.

Thats ok in Texas man you have to take other people cultures into account.

Like in asian countries and stuff its considered rude and confrontational to look an elder in the eyes, my freind told me his parents used to say thing liek lower your eyes when you speak to his grands.

So its more of a cultural/shyness thing then a peron deliberatly being decietful. So to the OP unless she is a white girl from usa then there probably nothing to worry about.

depends man but I used to never look anyone in the eye..I still only tend to look my closest friends and gf in the eye which took a while as well...don't worry about it!

Eye contact should be natural if she's into you. Leaning into you when she talks, etc.

Ok I've talked to her on the phone the last two days but havent seen her again. She is a white girl from the USA so I dont think its that. She has never prevented me from making a move I just havent felt comfortable doing it because of this. She dosent have a boyfriend, she broke up with her ex in Feb. Not so sure that she is over him though. Even if she does just want to be friends would that make her not look in my eyes? She really seems interested in every way but the eye contact thing seems kind of wierd. She wants me to come over tomorrow, I think I'll just go for it.
